I've seen good results (outdoor) with those cages you use for pea's, just plant in the middle of it and LST the poop out of it.

Tried to find a good picture, couldnt... I mean those A frame ones with 2" by 2" squares in the shape of an upside down V and about 4 feet long.

i drive 2x2's into the ground about 3' apart and attach one at the top then use twine to make a latter between the two and wind the branches on the twine , add a new run of twine every time the plants get tall enough ,no middle area for tomatoes to hide in
