Kief Boxes- Where to buy good quality ones?

kief, keif, kif, keef..... however you wish to say it, it all gets you high.

I want to know where to get good quality boxes with a pollen screen. is it possible to get these as humidors to keep the bud fresh? or is it not recommended to store your bud in a humidor?

any links or sites you can provide would be great! and whatever search terms you use to look for these boxes- I've searched Amazon.com for 'Keif box' (all different spellings of keif) and 'pollen box', but did not find what I was looking for =/

Search for Wikka boxes, their one of the best companies for keif boxes, but I would actually recommend getting the large space case of amazon for $100. Its' the best grinder you'll ever have and it collects keif like a mother fucker, just shake it after grinding like you would with a keif box, and you'll be amazed the amount of keif you get, I don't use my wikka anymore, unless I throw a bunch of shake in there after a harvest.

excuse my ignorance but im just hearing about this keif box... how does it work exactly? do you simply put it in there and wait or do you need to kind of shake it? also does it affect the high off the actual mj?

gravity will naturally make the crystals fall, but yes, it helps to shake it up.

A Kief box is just a box you store your buds in. You can shake it if you really want kief soon(but you're stripping your bud of alot of goodness), Or you can just break up your buds in the box instead of just on your table and all the trichomes that naturally fall off will fall thru the meshscreen on to a hidden bottom chamber of the kiefbox that has a glass bottom. It will just all sit there and gather over time and you end up with some really nice product. I really suggest you check these out!

The 2nd video is showing off a custom Keifbox this guy paul had made by a guy named Mrkeifbox who will make totally custom ones for a great price! He even puts on any image you want on to the top of the keifbox for free, which is pretty bad ass!

The only downside i see is that he only sells too med states, which im currently not in ...bummer -_-

I have a space grinder with the screen. I put my nugs in the grinder...put grinder in freezer for about 20 minutes then grind. I keep a NICKLE on top of the screen and just shake the grinder a few times the nickle bounces around.......dont over do it you will get green matter........yes this take a bit away from the bud you are smokeing but when you fill a bowl of your favorite bud and put the tip of a knifefull of kief in the mix you have one hell of nice hit. Kief is hash.......there are several ways to do it just depends on your taste for kief how much you wreck the bud or have great patients and just let it build up over time without doing much damage..............AND NO A POLLEN PRESS WONT MAKE IT ANY STRONGER........it just makes it easy to carry.....burns slower....its for convience that is all.

I have a wooden one like in the vid. I'll take a pic of it in a bit. I got mine at a head shop for $40 in Reno NV. Let me go take some pics....

My suggestions...

Try to buy one in person. You notice the lid is a different color? The original lid did not sit flush with the middle piece. A noticable gap was at one corner where keif could escape. So I asked to swap a top and did.

A fine mesh screen is VERY important!!!. I have no clue what mine is but I had a friend who had one and the screen was not as fine as mine and plant matter would end up in the keif.

If saying "Keif" is suspect at your local head shop, they are known as pollen boxes or pollen seperator boxes.

And yes.... The fine powder that comes out of that box will make you go BLIND!

Yeah i agree, the micron of the mesh is important as you don't want green keif =P

Yeah I get some nice keif out of mine. My buddy would get hairs and fine leaf pieces in with his.It was not that big of a deal if you were just smoking the keif but he was making hash out of it. That's when it mattered. I should make some keif now!!!

I bought one of those 3 section grinders with the kief collection at the bottom. I also use that area to collect the odd seed I find & i keep the odd bit of hash I get given to me. I have a PILE of kief collected. Have no idea what to do with it really.

I smoke a couple time a day so there is about 4 years worth in the bottom of this thing Say 21/2" around by say 1/2" deep? I have to grinders so I have about 2 times that amount.. I sometimes sprinkle some in my pipe with some balls of hash & some weed. Only on the weekend when I have a few hours of alone time Usually need it after a party bowl like that.

What is the point of a pollen press? Should I be pressing this stuff? I understand its the beginning of dry sieved hash (I think) but not sure how to process it. I've head that you press it then bake it?

Oh yeah you can smoke it by itself. You need a piece with a very small hole and a screen...

You should weigh it and see how much ya got.

Why does he only sell in med states? If I was him I would put up a disclaimer that his boxes are to follow local laws and used only in those laws limits. If your locality does not permit the use of marijuana for medical purposed then this product is to be used as a pollen box. Or something like that...I want one....fuck TX....
