Clone Problem...

I use the EZ Clone machine to root my clones. I'm running across a problem I've never come across before. Some of the leaves are turning white??? They aren't dying and it's not happening to all the clones. They are going into their 3rd week of being in the machine and roots are forming as normal. Is this some kind of deficiency? Some type of disease?

Most likely an N deficiency. Is it affecting the lower fan leaves first? I get that sometimes when my cloning area is too cold and it slows down the rooting process.

wow. third week? i have a homemade sprayer tote and it forms 2' roots in a couple weeks. my leaves always turn yellow at the bottom, some white almost transparent. your not focusing growth at the leaves so you dont use much nutes. i personally put 1/4 teaspoon (1/4 dose per gal) in the res with 3 gal water, makes it 1/12th strength with plain water. i transplant them as soon as the top starts growing again. after three weeks id def put some sort of nute to it.

They're just going into the 3rd week today (Saturday)... I'm pulling them Monday, I'm not letting them go 3 weeks. I use a product called Starter Juice added in the beginning.

I think you have the answer to the problem... it is affecting the lower leaves first and it has been colder then normal in my cloning area then usual. Been racking my brain why the temp has dropped...

make one like i got...150gph pump-$10, tubing and elbows-$3, sprayer heads-bag of ten was $4, 14g tote-$6 (lots of clones). total cost-$23 granted it doesnt look as nice and an ez cloner has a much more powerful pump, it still works the same.

I have the EZ-Clone 30 and it works great! I used to have mixed success with rapid rooter cubes and stuff but the ezclone is pretty much 100% success. Because it's almost failsafe I have reduced the number of clones I need by half since I don't have to account for clones that don't root. Clones are ready to plant in 10-14 days with Clonex rooting gel.

I love my EZ Clone machine, best money I've spent. Besides the current problem that I'm having and it wasn't the EZ Clone causing the problem, (which since I pulled all the clones and put them in rock wool the problem seems to be slowly correcting itself), it's been great. I know you can build your own, but I'm just not mechanically inclined to sit and figure it out or have the patience

you can get a botanicare aeroponic cloner for much cheaper. here is what i have. cost me about $170 at my local hydro shop but might be around $200 depending on what they feel like charging. http://www.americanagritech.com/systems/cloning-systems/clone-machine/25-plant-clone-machine comes with everything you need except plants, water, and gel. i use cloneX. the pump is 190 GPH. just dont be an idiot like me and forget to plug it in back in after checking ph. lost many little girls cause i didnt check it for 2 days afterward.
