thanks chedder.... Im usin a 600w HPS sunmaster dual spec bulb an ballast with a 6" Air cooled reflector...cooled by a 4" duct fan 42W(stepped down) it works well i can get my light 8" from the plants an temps in my room run between 75-83f.....there a must if you have a small space bud, i had just a dutch barn reflector standed with the 600w bulb when i 1st set my grow up an temps were in the high 90's till i got a little advice off here!looking good bro, wot light system you usin in flower?
hey ympb an thanksI would wait until week three to add p/k to that.
I doubt you will see any significant reward by adding expensive bloom boosters.....(just my opinion)
I'm waiting until I have EVERY other aspect of my grow dialed to 96+% or better before I start messing with the latest and greatest "double your yeald" product. Heck, it bothers me when I have to go spend $500.00 on 10 gallons of Canna A&B the last thing I want to worry about is which of the 100's of bloom stimulators would work best.
Beautiful, by the way....
Be on the lookout for free samples! A lot of local hydro shops will offer samples (quart or half-quart bottles) of various nute lines they're trying to promote if you say you'd like to try a side-by-side. Cutting Edge Solutions (CES) will also offer their entire line of nutes in quart bottles for the cost of shipping/handling (like $20). Thanks to brandon for that info!hey ympb an thanks
$500 wow thats a lot buddy! i got enough A&B1L, rhiz250ml, cannaz250ml,PK250ml,boost250ml and canna coco pro 50L for this grow for under £100 and the overdrive is only £16 for 250ml and will last me 2-3 grows an so will the cannaz so gess im lucky but i am only doin 1 plant.... only thing is the boost will only last me 6wks if i use at low rate what im runnin now (8ml/g) an up it to 16ml while i use the pk so thats why i was thinkin about addin the overdrive for the last 2-3wks its a 10wk strain..... im still thinkin about it anyhow so ill see....thanks for the help bud

Hey man, I'm glad you asked before doing . If you just want to trim off some fan leaves that are shading bud sites, that's cool. But I would not recommend going for full defoliation at this stage -- if you're interested in that you really need to start defoliating when the plant is a week or two old and then continue throughout the grow. If you start now it'll shock the plant more than it's worth.hey
Im plannin on doin a little defoliating on some fan leaves witch are blockin light....Need some help with where to cut and how?
This will be my 1st time so dont want to do anything wrong even though its prob easy!...... Am i ok cuttin fan leaves from any place on the plant or should i leave new growth at the top?
cheers

Hey buddy thanks for the quick responseHey man, I'm glad you asked before doing . If you just want to trim off some fan leaves that are shading bud sites, that's cool. But I would not recommend going for full defoliation at this stage -- if you're interested in that you really need to start defoliating when the plant is a week or two old and then continue throughout the grow. If you start now it'll shock the plant more than it's worth.
At this stage I would recommend trimming off only fully developed fan leaves that are shading bud sites. Try taking off a handful or so of leaves first to see how she reacts. If she appears to be continuing growth at a normal rate, feel free to do a little more but don't get too crazy. If you want to really strip her down to the bone like I do you're going to want to wait until you start a new plant.
The technique for the actual trimming is pretty simple; take a leaf stem between your index fingernail and thumbnail and pinch! You can do it anywhere along the stem, but I prefer keeping things tidy and doing it as close to the plant as possible without harming the bud site at the base of the leaf.
To be clear, the main thing you want to avoid now is hurting the stretch at all. A ton of new bud sites are forming at the moment as I'm sure you have observed. Considering how much vertical space you have, it would be a shame to keep her *too* short!
Hey wannai use all the canna products but the boost..i use other products for that
Sounds like a good plan! There isn't a whole lot you can do to these plants that really harms them besides taking off entire branches . Good luck, and party safe!Hey buddy thanks for the quick response
ye i was only plannin on doin about 7-8 large fan leaves ive seen witch are blockin light most are low but 2 are high.... I havent got the balls to chop as much as you dude! ....Maybe in the future if i see you achieve good results..... im sure you said you was goin to carry on the defoliating good luck!
So i just pinch the leaf of cool!....... thats what i needed to know the most..... i wasnt sure if i should do a clean cut with some kind of blade.
Thanks aggreenvin ill do it tommorow as doin a quick feed tonight as goin out to party!........... so ill do a update before an after, an i got a few close ups i took of some bud sites yesterday to put on!
peace
