How are you even getting into the 1915-1940 Era of Americana? It's 2011. Illegals here undercut....everyone. If they left we would HAVE to do the job. Simple as that. If you knew economics you'd realize illegal immigrants not paying taxes and employers not paying taxes because its under the table...so inflation happens and we go fuck our selves with churros.

I think your missing my point. It the situation was not so attractive and facilitated by American companies then there would be no issue. If American companies didnt employ illegals then it wouldnt matter. They wouldnt come across the border. On another point do you have a rough estimate of how many unemployed workers there and how many jobs are filled by illegals. Even a rough estimate. Id imagine the there are way more jobs being filled by illegals than unemployed people. While in the US these illegal aliens still need to live so must buy food etc. Therefore they do contribute to the economy.

My point is that these people are simply exploiting a more attractive situation by coming across the border. Same as any immigrant workers throughout the world. The rich business owner are the only beneficaries of this by paying lower wages. They create the system to benefit themselves and boost profit. Americana or not indeed this is 2011 and maybe we should look at the bigger issue than attacking and scapegoating the people who simply want to do exactly what you want to do. Make more money.

I cant see us agreeing on this so I am going to bow out from this one. I may not agree with your opinion but I respect it as a differing view from mine and valid in the debate

Surely then your issue should lie with the system that is making use of the cheap labour and not the immigrants themselves. If these companies were ethical and not profit driven then there would be no issue. I'm sure slot of these fruit picking companies are owned and run by good wholesome Americans. Therefore it's a problem with the system and not the people they exploit

Yes Chinese but Also the C.C.C. and I think they also might have used prisoners to help build the U.S. railroads- In japan Mitsubishi used American Slaves in mines.
We need to bring back the C.C.C. on a huge scale it helped us during the depression and makes a lot more sense than these bail out and stimulis programs.

It's not only about getting a job its about what that job gives you, its about cost of living and about the going wadge. being American is soposed to come with its advantages and earning a living wadge and living a middle class lifestyle should be one of those.
