Kinda hard to. Stamped into your brain like a motherfucker. Can you imagine being up the street when it happened? Just watching the plane make its beeline and the ensuing devestation would be insane. The government took great advantage of that event.i will never forget that day.

I not only remember the C64, I still have one! $200 was a crapload of money back then... Wish I still had the 5 1/4" floppy drive and dot matrix printer. And the VIC20.Damn I'm old. I remember everything everybody's mentioned here, and more.
Internet: My first computer was a Commodore 64. The only way to get on the "Internet" was CompuServe, $6/hour I kid you not. My first modem was 300 baud. You have no idea how slow that is. Uploading a single image might take an hour or more.
I didn't know what you meant by window crank until I looked it up. Everybody knows what a person means when they swing their hand around to signal to you to roll your window down. Even though all you are really going to do is push a button. We now have a generation that could very possibly....
Have no idea what a window crank is.
Not know how to warm something up WITHOUT a microwave.
Not know what a rotary phone is.
Have no idea how to use their imagination to entertain themselves.
Don't know what a cassette tape or VCR is.
BTW..... Remember 8-Track & BETA!
My point exactly. That is not a window crank. That is a motion.I didn't know what you meant by window crank until I looked it up. Did you ever have to load programs with the cassette player? No joke kids, you stored and loaded programs from a cassette player. Could take 20 min.I not only remember the C64, I still have one! $200 was a crapload of money back then... Wish I still had the 5 1/4" floppy drive and dot matrix printer. And the VIC20.

I've been in many a car with those. Maybe next they're going to ask us what we mean by car antenna. My point exactly. That is not a window crank. That is a motion.
My 8 year old asked my wife why I made that motion a few months back. Now go explain to an 8 year old how windows went down before "the button". No Bueno. When he figured it out his response was,"That would suck"! I laughed and said "We used to have to change the channel by hand. Oh, and we only had like 5 channels when I was a kid"!
He said, "I would have HATED living back then"!
Kids are so funny....
Wow. CatDog. You have to be in your teens, or real early twenties. Or just in love with cartoons.I wish I still had all my vhs movies. I probably had over 150 disney movies alone(i loved disney as a kid) Dad still has a lot of his old ones. Him and his uncle used to record the original star wars on vhs. We still have them. Love the originals. I've actually never heard of a rotary phone......but OH google just helped me remember it. I've used one, but they were outdated before I was born lol. Keep this thread going...I'm really enjoying this. I wish I could have watched ALL the old shows....I used to watch threes company on nick at nite...and coincidentally the guy died during the time I actually started getting into it. My friends would always bitch cuz I wouldnt put it on espn...I know this isnt like 'good ol days' but Fresh Prince of Bel Air!!! Love that too!
Here, let me tell yall my good ol days lol.....Johnny Bravo, CatDog, Cow&Chicken, Dexters Laboratory, Rugrats. I loved cartoons lol. Now, its adult swim! I can remember going to the park with my grandmother as well, giving bread to the ducks. Such great memories there! I remember when I got my first tonka toy truck, the ones that you can drive! It was a dumptruck..i ran that thing into the dirt I rode it so much. I used to have tallll ass hedges that grew around our old house, pretty much to keep the dust from hitting the house, but I had tunnels weaved throughout the 5 acre stretch of those hedges....I would be in those damn things allll day.
Thanks for reading that if yall do hahah.
