I'm suddenly allergic to caffeine apparently, and i'm wondering if smoking the herb might have something to do with it. I know i wasn't allergic to it before, because way back before i used to smoke, i almost never used caffeine for anything, because i'm always tired anyways and didn't want to end up relying on it. However i did use it a few times and everything was all good, i got that little energy boost just like everyone else. Well i've had to use it to pull a few all nighters to get shit done, and every time i use it i have trouble breathing, and the fact that i'm trippin out from lack of sleep makes it worse. Not life threatening or anything, just uncomfortable.

Don't think I have ever heard of anyone being allergic to caffeine. Stuff makes me kinda jittery so I use half regular and half decaf for my coffee. LOL

Could be a lot of things. Is it always the coffee from the same place that does it? Or, any caffeine such as that in soft drinks? Do you take anything in your coffee, or just black?

What is allergic? Are you breaking out in hives, throat swelling shut and your whole body is itchy?

If no, then it's not an allergy

Your probably overly sensitive to caffeine, as am I. If you don't sleep you can and will hallucinate from sleep deprivation it happens to me all the time..

allergy's come and go though.. i used to break out into hives when I ate oranges as a kid, now It's not uncommon for me to drink a half carton of OJ (with no issues)

allergies to anything can surface at any point in your lifetime, your doctor will be able to advise you better than anyone on here (well unless someone on here is a doctor i sposelol)

i know this has nothing to do with what you asked but i suspect caffeine might block the high from edibles to some degree. i ate a peice of cannafudge for breakfast the other day and followed up with 3 cups of coffee in an hour. an hour went by and i was not high. another hour went by and nothing. i hadn't smoked or anything. even if it was weak stuff i should have felt something. but back to you...it doesn't sound like an allergy, just increased sensitivity. either your body changed or your environment (mainly food) did. google stuff that intensifies caffeine and cut it out of your diet. if that doesn't fix it then your phiysiology changed.

Yeah maybe i'm just overly sensitive to caffeine from not using it very often, and i pry had a bad reaction to the aspartame, cause it was diet, as well.
