I am wondering if i am doing pretty good or bad for my first time, i am 3 and a half weeks into flowering and the buds are thumb size does this sound about right?

Depends when they first appeared, and on the size of the plants.

If you have buds your doing great. Just think that after 6 weeks of actual flowering they will start to really get fat.

they appeared about 2 weeks ago and they are about 2 and a half feet tall and pretty bushy

Sounds good, the next two weeks they will put on the size, than later they will swell up and get fat.
Depends on how much light your giving them, with cfls that would be great, with 600 watts of HPS not so much.I am wondering if i am doing pretty good or bad for my first time, i am 3 and a half weeks into flowering and the buds are thumb size does this sound about right?
