Germinating seed roots

Hello and Happy New Year RiU dwellers!

I've just had my harvest about a week ago and got myself a new batch of skunk #2 seeds. Set them to germ, everything is peachy king the problem is that the roots coming out of the seed (still too small for soil) are twisting to strange directions making me fear that I won't even be able to plant them right! Is there anything I could do to fix this? Or just let it go with the flow? Plant them and whatever happens, happens?

Sounds like you have them sitting in paper towel, once you put it into medium the roots will know which way to go. If you have them in the medium and the root is growing straight up, i'd love to see that pic =)

Yup, that's about right. I wouldn't worry about it. Actually, to be honest, I'd put them in the soil once I see any root if I were you. But then again, I germ a lot of my seed right in soil.

Hahaha yeah their still in the towels and yeah I should be putting them in pots soon.. I just came from work though and kinda tired wanna let them sit in a towel just one more night, make sure they can shoot upwards as soon as they feel some soil. Thanks for your help!

I still don't get why people fuss over paper towels with fresh seeds, unless they're impatient or something and want to know the instant the seed cracks open.

I can tell you I am quite the impatient person. Using the towels still works perfectly fine and it doesn't hinder any growth as far as I know of, it's just a bit more comforting to open up two towels to check on your seeds rather than digging through perlite filled dirt! =)
