Looking at the photo's in post #12 and noticing the undergrowth, would anyone recommend starting to LST now or wait a bit? I just started Nutes yesterday and am wondering if too many things at once will stress these little ones out too much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think the general consensus is 4 sets of nodes to start LST. And it looks like you have that now. You don't want to start so early that you uproot the plant, and you don't want to wait too long to the point where the plant is not as pliable.

I would say if you plan on doing heavy LST during the plants life, that you should go ahead and start now. The sooner you start, the easier it will be over the course of the plants life. If you water a half day prior to starting the LST, the plants will be full of water and easier to bend. Also, before I make that final bend to where I'm going to leave it, I pinch that branch, and work it back and fourth a bit to loosen it up.

Thanks for the advice Pelt. I watered late yesterday afternoon so I think things will still be quite easy to bend. This strain is apparently "Squat" to begin with and I will likely have enough room to flower without LST but I want to get some light to that undergrowth to promote more of a result at harvest.

Thanks Zenith. I think I will be watering tomorrow so I am going to give it a shot after I water when the stems are a little more pliable. Thanks again for the input and I will throw up some pics after I tie the little ones down.

No problemo. You can start as early as the 3rd node but in general people go with 3 - 5 depending on the strain. Just treat it like its your baby lol

Oh I know what you mean about treating them like my babies The amount of energy and time put into this project so far is making me feel a little guilty about the amount of time I spent with my children when they were young and sensitive. Just kidding of course.

This is my first crack at growing after a long and arduous debate with myself and I was surprised at how consuming it is. Being a Noob just makes me want to ensure I am doing things properly. I have some ventilation issues I am going to need to take care of in the next few weeks before I flower, got any experience with Ventilation??

Ventilation imo is the part where you have to dial everything in until you get it just right. Its always been the cause of my biggest problems. The only way to really control it is the strength of your fans though

Ok, so riddle me this...... You have seen my cabinet (or you can in post #12 i think). I currently have one fan blowing in and one blowing out. Unfortunately they are both the same CFM. 80CFM PC Fans. Intake at the bottom of each chamber and Exhaust at the top. Exhaust runs out the back, into a 4" duct and down into the crawl space below my house. I know that is NOT enough so here is what I have planned:
Take the intake fan, combine it with the exhaust fan (2 fans blowing out) mount them on the very top (roof) of each chamber, install 6" duct hose Straight up through the ceiling and into the attic. At the attic end, a 250CFM boost fan drawing up. Change intake to passive. the Dimensions of each chamber are 36" wide, 40" Tall and 18" deep. As it sits right now, when I close the doors at night (it is in my bedroom and is like the fucking sun while trying to sleep) I supplement with a 2L bottle of ice to keep the temps in the 80 degree range. I want to avoid this hassle obviously. Also I am concerned about smell when I start to flower and am OK venting into the attic as there are 3 "Whirley Birds" on my roof exhausting the attic. Do you think this will help with the heat issues? I want to be able to keep the doors shut at all times if I can but need to get the heat under control in order to do that. Ambient room temp is about 67 - 69 at all times and with the doors open, the cabinet ambient temps are about 75 - 78 degrees. Any thoughts???

Id say go ahead with the passive intake idea. And def use the two fans as exhaust. I think you might want to get something better than 80 cfm though even if there is two of them just because that's a tall cab

Even if there is a 250CFM boost fan at the end of the exhaust ducting?

A possibility is that you may put two fans in the same exhaust path, and the one that moves less air will act like a brake on the faster one and slow the airflow of the faster one down. All depending on the length of the ducting that you use. Typically if you place fans in the same stream, they should be matched. If one is further downstream, it can be slightly more powerful.

And using a powerful 250cfm, with an 80 cfm fan, that's really a discrepency. A simpler idea might just be to get one exuast fan, if money isn't an issue, just get a really strong one and put it away from your box, in the attic. If your box is sealed more less, and your path is good, it will pull the air out.

Just some thoughts, your case appears to have about twice the volume as mine does, I have more fans than you, and I feel mine is still insufficient.

Thanks Pelt. As Xenith said, what if I were to eliminate the 80CFM fans all together and just mount the 250CFM fan as planned? Would this draw enough? I would like to hook BOTH chambers to the same exhaust in order to only punch one hole in the ceiling?

Based on your cab size(not factoring in heat from light), a single 250cfm fan.... provided your intake isn't restrictive, that 'should' be more than enough to recirc your air 5 times per minute.
