Unless those elves are his adopted children and not elves and he is a big child slaver. Who knows....but...

Christmas is big(business) these days, I'm sure he manages. Like crab fishermen; they'll go out for a few months and haul in a year's salary. Santa runs the largest racket known to human-kind. He's got a fall-back even if he blows all of his money on whores.

I'll bet I know what santa does the day AFTER christmas to relax and unwind... Think about it, he's fat, jolly as heck, magical, flies around really high with the help of nature (magical animals... and plants) and he knows how to hide, ain't nobody finding his place, and he gives stuff away to cool people, (puff puff pass?) not to mention the giant celebratory tree he encourages people to have, and if you have one he puts gifts under it, even if it's a different kind of tree than the kind he likes, lol. I can totally see santa sitting in his chair after delivering stuff pulling a giant red velvet bag of pot from his magic belt and with a puff of smoke out comes a joint and some buds and papers and a bowl and a lighter, and sparkles, and he fires one up and drinks some Cocacola from those glasses. I can totally see that.
