Thank you all, for the kind words. Since only my Wife and I know about this, posting here helps me release some of the excitement I get from this hobby.

There are many talented growers here and I value all their input.

Right now I have 2 concerns, water temp and water handling.... one of the reasons I went with a 10gal container.

4 - 2' T5 HO 2700k Tubes
1 - PPM/EC meter and matching nutes
More Hygozyme
1 - Reservoir and pump if I decide to go Over Flow DWC
1 - PH meter
1- Some way to measure the water temps
8 - 2" net pots and neoprene collars
Help

I use a DWC and I can tell ya the best nutes for me---(simple to use) is the Technaflora Recipe for Success kit. It has everything you need even rooting gel. And Root 66 might be the most awesome thing ever!!!! Ummm...we use an aquarium heater to help raise the water temp when the lights are off and it's super cold....You need some net pots I guess and some hydroton rocks, ah hell you might run into a million things in the course of this...i know I have.

Here is the deal...I am in the beginning of doing the same thing, but it seems like getting this one plant to grow into a clonable mother feels like I've been waiting forever...did you feel that way? She made it to 5 nodes and I topped her, but just waiting for braches...I'm hoping she'll grow out some soon so I can start some clones...and then more clones...on and on until I buy another seed and do the same...lol. It's all about patience as far as I can tell...

for me it really feels like it's all about being patience.. when you can't wait you start making wrong decisions.. you water too much because you check on them too often and your afreid they will dry..

weed is weed.. it will grow.. don't kill it with love (:

@misnu topping is high stress. I choose to LST the main stem and made it horizontal the secondaries shot up and those I took for clones. My plants are doing what they were going to do any way I just accelerated it. You stop what they are doing and now they are changing to do something else.

I went with the flow you changed the flow.

Patience.

Just about ready. Will take a trip to the hydro store Mon or Tuesday and prob transfer the clones Wed then finish out the cab to get a little more height.

Looking clean and nice B.

Have you thought about an Aquarium heater for the tank that has a regulating thermostat and you can set the temp of your nute solution on the thermostat and hey presto perfect nute temps.

Just an idea. I think you can pick up a heater for around $40 they are around £25 here.

lol sorry for some reason it only posted half of what i said, but in a hand basket. Why a chiller is the room to hot or do you find a chiller more benificial?

71F is just about right but if you wanted to use it as a generative action you could try and drop it to 65F which will make it slightly more difficult for the roots to function but they will still be able to take up water and nutes effectively. This kind of mild stress will not harm growth it just nag at the plant and push it in a generative(flowering) direction.

This is an extract from that article i am typing up. So to recap 21C 71F is ok for Vegging growth but if you wanted to flower in that DWC too then you could try and get it lower down to 65F 18C in order to help the plant steer towards flower development.


Hopefully the full article will be posted later today as i know you will love reading it. LOTS FOR THE MAD SCIENTISTS like us to delve into lol. I have 3.5 magazine pages left to copy up onto the article as it is 7pages long in total.

Yes positive stress, creating a mild stress to help steer a plant in either vegatative direction or generative direction .

Since I have not read J's article yet I just chopped the tops off the 8 in soil veg.
DWC is up and running 4 days and they are not dead yet.
