Hand Rolled Joints. Let's Seem Um!

IM with you. I roll mine too tight.. sometime if you roll it up too tight then they are worthless.
IMO and experience over the years, a good joint is a highly under-rated skill.... esp. with good weed with that perfect amount of stickyness/moistness... the fluffiness coupled with the stickiness makes it very easy to roll a jay too tight. This is also why I am against using a grinder; 1) it takes away some of the hands on purity of the whole sacrament, and 2) when ground down to that kind of consistency, keeping the right amount of 'looseness' in the joint gets complicated.... Gotta break it up by hand, and then use finite skill and years of stoner intuition to know exactly how to work the kind of weed you are working with.....
Great thread Senor ;)

Having used a roller a lot and the fact that it's easy to roll them too tight, pilgram suggested a small wire also. But, roll it normal, and then run the wire(I use a large straightened paperclip) through the center. Fixes it, but almost too good!
I remember reading someone from here say that. Actually that's where I thought of my idea. props to Pilgrim for that, by the way.

I don't know what my problem is, but I poked two holes in my blunt doing that. lol.. May be I should buy the game operation n practice. I'll use a narrow paper clip next time. My next bone is gonna be burnin and pullin perfect or I'm gonna roll another:)

That's exactly how I started perfecting my rolling years ago..... bought an oz and 2 packs of papers and started rollin joints and if i didnt like the end result it was torn open and rolled again..... you'll get it eventually.

Of course Im gonna try many methods.

makes perfect sense.

Next bag I get I will take your advice, gogrow.

Rolling blunts n rolling bones can be different in my opinion. It's harder too roll a good joint.
peace

go for it, you will thank me ;) .... there's nothing wrong with getting sticky fingers, and you dont lose shit b/c of it stuck to you like the grinder advocates like to make it out.
As for blunts, those are a whole nother topic completely..... they are for different occasions and require a whole different approach. IMO, blunts are for celebration and general excessiveness for when you've got it like that...... as such, they should look like a fine bought cigar when finished..... full, plump, and uniform..... I'm not a fan of these cats that put a .5 in a wrap and call it a blunt.... to me a 'blunt' is a cannabis cigar, not a skeeter joint stretched into a gram of tobacco wrap ;)

Been rolling since i started smoking, i roll with roach on the right, even trying to roll a cigarette with filter on the left and i'm all oover the shop :D

Smoking a nice bit of sweet tooth at present, it's got a very strange perfumy fragrant aroma to it, never smelt weed like it :)

That should do me over rather nicely in the abth with a book and some music :)

Did that the first few times too. For me, I found that VERY straight(took me about 30 minutes to straighten it) wire makes it a lot easier. When I push mine through, I twist it and feel for
the wire getting close to the paper. If it does, I back out just a little and re-work it. Took some practice though.

exactly thats how i started a lifetime ago. the only way to get better is to smoke your mistakes. unless theyre to bad then rip em up ive been rolling since 78 and it takes a feel for your weed. to dry, to moist, the moister it is the fluffier in the joint you want it

i'd bet that was the way you learned though.... had you came up learning how to work the weed, your opinion would probably be different ;)
as for the "tar", feasibly how much crystals could you possibly fit on the few fingers it takes to break up weed???

Two different prefferences. Kinda like Indica/Sativa. Most prefer one or the other, but in the end, they're both happy. :)

I learned with my hands and/or scissors(lots of Mexi brick back in the day). Since I got a grinder though, I rarely use my hands.

That made me LOL... Yeah there are def alot of peeps that throw .5 in a cigarillo and act like they are rolling deep... Personally i love smoking blunts, the tobacco wrap just seems to add a great taste to it, but you are right when you say a blunts gotta be rolled proper, even, and plump! Also you know someones got their blunt skills down when they can make that line straight everytime..

Although you cant fit more then 1.3-1.4 in a grape swisher so your kinda limited with that..

that's why you buy actual 'wraps' and not cigars..... it wouldnt be a joint if you rolled it out of a busted up cigarette would it?? its just smoking something then.... I'd rather a can :D
