So ive decided to get a vaporizer for one reason ONLY, my health. Have to say I have never tried it and am worried I will not get the same satisfaction from it. Now I have read all the benefits guess my question is are they true? Do you get just as high? What brand vaporizer is the best to buy? Been a smoker a long time. Having a hard time changing up.

They get you really high lol. I have a v tower extreme and I love it. You might go through a little bit more weed but it tastes so clean.

In my experience, the vaporizer gives a more stoney indicay body focused high whereas a bong does better for zooming heady sativay highs. vaporizer makes me very very comfy while bong makes me very very high.

Got a vaporizer last Christmas for the very same reason. I am sad to admit that I never got the same "satisfaction" as I do from my old-school ways of smoking (pipes, papers, bongs, etc) and quickly returned to it.

Last time I saw my vaporizer, it was on the dumpster with the other garbage.

The whip style won't get you as high as a bong but a bag style vape will get you wrecked.

They cost a little more though but you will save on weed with a vape vs. a bowl/bong.

The taste is smoother and the high is cleaner.

i've been wondering the same thing myself.. never tried a vap before even though they had them in a few coffee shops in the dam while i was there.. i didn't try them there as i didn't want to look like an ass by not having a clue..
so i just read a few reports on good vaporizers, and although the volcano always gets top honors, that was a bit much for me to pay only to find out that i don't like it as much as my roor.. so after reading a bunch, i went with the extreme q vaporizer, the extreme kit, from amazon for $380.. it comes with the q vap, and an iolite handheld unit as well as a bunch of accesaries for the extreme q.. so can't wait for it to get here..

a vaporizer is a whole nother level to getting high u can vap all night without worrying about the smell of smoke but it will indeed get u high but have to admit rolling a blunt or joint sometimes is nice to mix it up

I can't stand the idea of having to inflate a bag and then sucking out of a bag to get high. I want a vaporizer that works like the gun Sgt. Stedenko in "Nice Dreams"

I have been smoking for 20 plus years now and I have to tell you I broke down and bought a vaporizer a few months ago because I wached "Super High Me" on Netflix and then saw Eric Roberts with one on Celebrity Rehab...I bought The Essential VAAAPP hand held first then bought the Vapir 1 because I thought I wasn't getting the right effect from the handheld...Even with the more expensive piece I'm not at all happy with the vape and wish I wouldn't have spent the combined $300 on the two.

I would stick to my bong unless you have a medical reason to stop the smoke.

I can vouch for the ExtremeQ, it does whip style and balloons. It's a different, cleaner, kind of high. Definitely takes a little bit of getting used to, but it damn sure works.

I also hear a ton of good reviews about the vapor genie. That's a portable hand held that you use with a lighter. I will be trying one out within the next few days, so I'll keep you updated.

not calling you a liar, but im pretty sure witha vape you get more thc and less cbds and cbns which should translate into a more heady high. you sure you werent vaping a indica?

on the OP's original question, you may have an adjustment period going over to a vaporizer, it's not the same as bong hits
as was mentioned by one poster, you get a cleaner effect off a vape
but as you get used to it, it's very easy to adjust, used properly, its sweet medicine for the lungs

I love vaping. I still smoke from time to time, but I get plenty high from the vape. I have 2 iolites and an herbalaire. I use the iolite for the most amazing portable stealthy vaping that money can buy. And fill bags from the herbalaire when I'm at home. I think vaping gets you much higher from less herb. It just doesn't work as quick as smoking seems to.

You will need to "get out" of the smoking mindset, it is very different than bong hits. I just started vaping for health reasons...you WILL get medicated...just realize the delivery will be much different. Lastly, as you get used to the vape...remember the reason you are using it is for your lungs!!!

My thing is i never can figure out how much is a joints worth. I usually smoke a couple joints to get medicated. How many bag fulls would be the equivalent? I have a vapir one digital vape
