i had that problem from useing scotts premium soil (my ass) i tried the sticky tape, soap. letting them dry out and nothing would get rid of those little effers. i ened up getting some foxfarm ocean forest and transplanting my babies. i rinsed the roots off an all with rain water and then put them in the yummy stuff. i left the fly traps hanging for a few more days just to catch the straglers and now they are completely gone. yay. hope this helps. So after a trip to the hardware store, I picked up another timer for my veg box and got a thermometer/hygrometer for 8 bucks. My humidity was low, so I rigged up a little humidifier to run with the lights (since it has bright LEDs on it, stupid design) While i was fiddling around with my grow I noticed some fungus gnats flitting around, fucking cheap dispensary clones. I checked up on the babies in the veg box which i sprouted myself, and not a sign of the little buggers. So I'm gonna let the Laverne and Shirley (the clones) dry out a little bit, and maybe i'll try adding a couple drops of dish soap to the water next time they drink. Gonna go get some sticky traps and try the soap, and hopefully nip this in the bud (no pun intended) before it turns into a problem. It's only a few gnats now, but wouldn't want it to turn into a problem, so if the soap and sticky traps don't work, i'm moving up to mosquito dunks, i guess. Any ideas?
If it doesn't work try Azamax or Azatrol their like a nuke for spider mites can spray on foliage and drench soil with it I use it every 3-4 weeks whether I see mites or not.I got neem oil and yellow sticky traps, I sprayed the soil good and some of the bottom foliage, and grinned with delite as I ceased to see any movement other than my girls waving to me in the breeze. I laid the sticky traps to see if they're still there, cause I'm at work most of the day/evening, but on first appearances it looks good. No spider mites, this is strictly fungus gnats, and we'll see tomorrow if neem oil is the shit or what.
