Question about lights and how to power them

im searching for a light for my soon to be grow closet, but before i buy i need to figure out how to power it and if i need electric work done or if theres someway i can just plus it into the wall....

or is that what the ballast is for?..

kinda new to this.. any helps appreciated, thanks!!

check your circuit breaker. check the max amps on that and compare it to the max amps on the grow light.

you may have to install a higher amp breaker in the future if you use larger grow lights

thanks! much appreciation, what about a 600, or a 1000 though??
as long as you don't have any high amp stuff plugged into that same circuit like a big TV or space heater you should be OK. The minimum breaker is 15 amps which can handle over 1500 watts.

i dont wanna start a new thread, so hopefully you can answer this for me as well

i have one of those basic drip hydroponics systems and im going to use clay obviously, but i know you cant sprout a seed or further grow a clone in that, so what how should i go about doing that then transfering it into the system when it can handle it? i mean i feel like if i were to plant it in dirt and then put it in the hydro system it would be too much stress on the plant to get all the dirt off the roots, unless you dont have to

I don't do hydro BUT I've seen enough grows to know you start your seeds & clones in rockwool cubes for the clay transfer.
