Just got me a dr150 and the horti dual arc and the gallaxy 400/600/1000/ for flower, Love the switchable ballast.

I just got a digilux 600mh for my veg cabinet. Have you tried these bulbs?

went on a spending spree for me, birthday and x-mas...my card is smokin! lol

looking good jerry, that cola on the jtr looks pollinated, i'd just keep an eye out for bananas. Did u wipe down ur room and equipment after u had that problem with hermies? maybe some pollen got brushed off your light or something when u were moving things around. that sour OG #3 is a pretty girl

Damn. I haven't had a hermie problem since I started using the tent, so unless some pollen was stuck on the reflector and I dislodged it (I have banged my head into it a good half dozen times...surprised I haven't broken the glass to be honest) I don't know where it could have come from. I checked over all the plants pretty well for bananas...there are only 4 in the tent at the moment...and they looked clean. Oh well, I just wish I knew who it came from...

huh, another unsolved mystery. If it does end up being pollinated you could have some nice beans tho

Well I have some unfortunate news to report. My beautiful Vanilla Kush is shooting out bananas like there's no tomorrow. All the top buds had at least 4 or 5 projecting from the nice golf ball sized nugs, with some having more. Even some of the lower buds have them.

I went through and plucked as many as I could with tweezers, but I honestly think it's hopeless. I will never get them ALL, so some will inevitably open and pollinate everyone in the tent. This is probably where the other mystery pollen came from on the JTR. I checked this plant over though and didn't see any at the time...maybe they were buried.

So I don't know what to do with the plant. It's about 5 weeks into flower, but needs another 4-5 to finish proper.

On a pollen-related note, I successfully extracted a handful of sacks from my triploid Sour OG Male. I waited till a few had opened, then plucked the ones that looked closest to opening and stuck them in a jar (a la FDD's method...thanks SICC). The Sour OG Female I intend to pollinate isn't quite ready yet I don't think, but the day is fast approaching.

Otherwise everyone is looking happy and healthy. JTR is really starting to fill in. I'll get some pics soonish :leaf:

I'd probably pull that vanilla out of there before everything gets seeded. don't you have a 150 hps layin around? maybe u could finish it off by itself somewhere, or atleast give it another 2-3 weeks. maybe make hash with it?

I've already removed it from the tent, but I don't know where to put it. I could move it into the veg room and try to only give it 12 hours of light, but that sounds like a pain in the ass. The only thing I have laying around is a 600w hps and a couple 2' high output T5's, and no where really to put any of it.

I thought about using it for butter, but I'm not sure how potent it would be if harvested this early.

Oh well. On another sad side note my Somango seed started to break the surface then just died for no reason, while my Blue Cheese didn't even crack. Granted the Blue Cheese is kinda old, but the Somango has no excuse.

At least the NYC Diesel is doing well.

Damn bro Im sorry to hear about the lil ole somango. Thats messed up. I have a somango seed in the air i hope mine makes it. Ive been wanting to grow this strain for a few years now.

I recently transplanted the OG's, Amnesia Lemon, and Afghan Kush into larger pots, and the plants are still recovering a bit. I usually leave the root ball in tact when I transplant, but I tried separating it a bit this time to see if it would make a difference. And I think it did, just not a good difference. I'll try and get some pics of the clones soon :leaf:

Unless you you can manage all the bananas, i would would just cut the vanilla down. But thats just me, she doesn't look too bad tho. Glad the pollen collecting was successful, that would be a nice cross :D

Im actually smoking on some Sour OG, with a lil hash i mad with my last harvest. Those critical jacks looks great too :weed:

Yeah, its coming down soon. There is no way I can feasibly manage the bananas. Putting it back in the tent probably wasn't a good idea, but I wanted to give it a couple more days before she comes down.

I think I found a couple bananas on the JTR as well, which would be the first time I've ever had bananas on a non-feminized plant. Makes me think there is something in their environment causing it to happen...but everyone else is fine...I don't know. Just part of the game at this point I suppose.

My OG's are taking their sweet time flowering, but I can't wait for the Sour. Attitude is going to begin stocking Cali Connection Sour Diesel, which they claim is their Sour OG male crossed with the clone only Sour Diesel cut. I've been thinking about ordering some when they are in stock...but I also found some Reserva Privada Sour Diesel regular seeds that look good, but I haven't heard anything about it.

I may be going through a Sour/Diesel phase at the moment...
