I'm also looking at Pineapple Chunk, from Barney's Farm. It looks good on paper. Over 20% THC it says. Anyone try this one?

Is AK-48 too stanky for cabinet growing? Anyone try this one?

Trying to pick the right strain is a lot of research! I keep finding different strains that will work for me. I'm also limited by the fact i'm only looking for feminized seeds. But there are still so many good ones out there.

i got great white in my mother closet... i wouldn't call it "legendary" by any means.

hearty, lush, easy to grow, quality smoke.

good but not great.

gonna flower off the mom soon enough to make room for something better.

smoking DNA (sour cream) right now... again dank but not all that.

sour d ==> dankest of the dank in my closet imo

I have grown AK-48 and it did stink to high heavens. I got a solid yield of rock hard dense nugs and the smoke was very potent.

It got me very very high. not the best tasting nugs I have grown but it was still pretty good. (AKs are better for potency and yield than they are taste)

I would recommend it for its quick finishing time but there are for sure better strains out there. look at Next generation, TH Seeds, Subcool, and Mr. Nice. they all have good genetics.

If you like indicas I would take a look at black domina. that one has had amazing reviews about the potency

Just remember no single plant will give you the best yield/potency/taste/smell/bag appeal. every strain has its strengths and weaknesses.

its better to look at it that way instead of just trying to find a super strain

I second Larry's review of AK48. I was very fast, some phenos really do finish in 48 days. I had 2 different phenos, 1 was purple, weak taste, weak smell, but like Larry said, it gets u baked. The other pheno actually had great bag appeal. Really frosty buds, with a sharp citrus smell, taste was 7/10, and like the purp, got u lifted. Most liked the purple cause it looked exotic. In the end it did not make the cut. Yield was off and that pretty much killed it for me. GL

Now you got "Waste" stuck in my head!

I totally agree that there is no one perfect strain. I'd love to grow some really stinky stuff, but given my situation, i have to grow something more neutral smelling. I'd love to grow some good sativa, but i have to compromise, because i want it to finish quickly. I'm going to put the Sativa in the "someday" category.

I'm also looking at classic old Northern Lights. finishes quickly. I've also considered "Pineapple Chunk" and "Swiss Cheese". Any one try these?

Anything from Serious Seeds that meets your criteria will impress you. A lot of people are suggesting specific strains but the trick is to to go with a breeder with consistent phenotypes; that rules out anything from Nirvana. Once you have your pack, your selection process begins which is a lot easier when all your plants look alike. Good luck.

Like I said before.... Go with next generation seeds!!! Any strain you pick you'll like these genetics are a solid as you can find.

I'd love to go with some serious seeds strains. I am also a huge fan of Sensi Seeds. Their Jack Herer is my favorite all time smoke.

Any experience with Barney's Farm seeds? I keep seeing strains from them that would work for me. Like LSD and Vanilla Kush.
