4 plants from seed experiment

Thanks for the advice.

The 2 bigger plants have been topped and the sour cream has been tied down to restrict the stretch. Which is the same thing with the smaller Sour Cream. As i cant get the smaller plants any closer to the light at present so i have decided to tie down the main stem on the Smaller Sour Cream. It seems to be working rather well. Besides i am only flowering these 4 while growing on my 16 clones and the Sharksbreath. Once the clones are big enough i will be flowering pretty much all of them and keeping a few back as donor plants for more clones.

Fully agree with you about training early im just trying a few different things out with the strains to see how they perform. Topped and tied, only tied not topped , only topped etc etc.

Will also be running some testing with clones to see how big or small of a clone produces the kind of yield i want from them.

J
yea i see what your saying. i guess i meant to say.. in my opinion i dont like the way the plants grow when trained single topped, when compared to other plants, they waste space.

OK J looks as usual for you Bro. Rockin'!!

Let me ask ya in #566 the covered clone starter tray. Leave the clones covered till you can see roots from the rockwool or is there a certain time as a general rule.

I germed seeds in peat starters 1 grow did really good, second grow lost about 1/3 of my seeds. Is there maybe a set time to removed from covered tray with seeds? I've taken them out and put the whole peat starter into soil when the tap root first breaks the soil. Maybe I should wait till it has a few sets of leaves?

Looks good and as always appreciate the advice.

its not about how long you keep them covered in the prop, but yes i do wait til i have multiple roots showing, the REAL KEY TO SUCCESS is the gradual transition from high RH in prop to lower RH in veg.

prop RH should be +85% if your veg area runs at around 50% like mine you need to open vents on your prop to gradually lower RH inside your prop to closer resemble the environment they will be moving into while keeping an eye on them for wilting etc any wilting close your vents.

completely agree with you but i was only planning on having the 2 original mothers in there while the 2 smaller ones were going to be my new mothers, but then i started reading more about how people clone clones of clones of clones etc and thought why bother with a mother for any lengthy amount of time just clone the clones before putting them into flowering .
So i figured i could increase my yield under my 600w by flowering the other smaller ones as there wasnt any room in the motherbox for them with 16 clones in there lol

yea that is what i do, just make sure you clone the strains you want before 12/12.

exactly! up until researching about clones of clones of clones etc i was going to keep the smaller 2 of the 4 for mothers but whats the point! as you say just cut them before 12/12 .

Also gonna be taking a few flowering clones from the smaller 2 just to see how they perform.

hey everyone,

So, it appears that the PPP is trying to go hermie. i am the kind of guy that inspects my plants on a daily basis from leading growth tip to the air pruned roots coming out the bottom and today i found 3 small areas on the plant that had the start of male NANAS forming out of a calyx. i plan on paying close attention over the next few days to see whether this gets any worse, on wednesday i think i may pick up some dutch master reverse just incase!

Taking a clone from a flowering plant will result in a slow rooting clone and funny growth during the veg stage. This is a good technique if you want the clones to be bushy...it is similar to going into flower then reverting back to veg. Nug formations will branch out with a ton of new branches. Leafs will grow funny too for a while.

Dutch masters reverse is only effective when used by the directions. I think it is 10 days before flowering and then 10 days after that or something. It may help but i think you are too far in the game. Are you stressing them out any way? Some plants go hermie no matter what, most are induced by stress. Although the tendency to go hermie is determined genetically, environmental factors are what can bring them out. Light changes, temp changes, nutrient changes, basically CHANGES! Other than that everything is lookin top notch!

hey bro,

no stress whatsoever on the PPP she got topped early at the 2nd true node once she hit 6nodes high then cleaned approx 4inches of undergrowth during the first few days of 12/12.

havent seen any new NANA's yet so all is well for now. Have also just started a magus genetics exile incase the PPP has to go. No NANA's on the rooted top either.

Just gonna keep my eyes open for a while.

just reporting in to say no new NANA's on the PPP .

HAPPY DAYS!!!!!

Pic update tomorrow folks of the 4 in flower, the 16 clones, the sharksbreath and hopefully the EXILE will be above ground too.

Hey there folks

Well i thought i would check in today and show you whats happening with everything i am doing at present.

The first few pics are of the PPP and the Sour Cream. easy way to tell which is which is that the Sour Cream has alot more tops than the PPP.

Then there are some pics of the 2 cloned tops that i took from each of the 2 larger plants. The tied down plant is the Sour Cream and the untrained plant is the PPP.

The others are of the clones. The 6 healthiest looking ones are the PPP clones and the others around the edges are the Sour Cream clones.

In a small terracota pot on top is the DNA Sharksbreath (transplanting soon) and in a larger terracota pot with a dome on it is the EXILE. The EXILE is just starting to push through the coco.

With both the DNA sharksbreath and the EXILE seed i did not pre soak them, i just soaked my coco added my Trichoderma and Mycorhizal fungi and planted them straight into the coco with a dome on top and hey presto they come up.

The PPP has not sprouted any more NANA's at all so i am quite confident that it should be ok and maybe had a little off day that day lol.

Some vital statistics for each feed

2 larger plants are having EC1.8 of CANNA A+B
2 smaller plants are having EC1.2 of CANNA A+B

16clones are having EC0.8 of CANNA A+B

EC1.8 going into the medium and coming out at 1.4
EC1.2 going into the medium and coming out at 1.0
EC0.8 going into the medium and coming out at 0.7

So everything is feeding well and seems happy.

Hope you all enjoy the pics.
