You could use a 250w in that kinda space, I started with a 250, you can get some decent nugs.
I don't think potency is affected by the light source, HPS has a bit more lumens for a little more yield and density.those MH sunpulse bulbs really have me interested , i may try them soon. ive heard MH is better for potency but your yeild suffers from using them solely. these sun pulse bulbs are the perfect par and spectrum for flowering , supposedly. and they're MH's

what caught my eye was the fact its a 600 watt metal halide, i could not find a 600 watt metal halide bulb , all conversion (with very very shitty lumen ratings for their wattage) And you can ch
pricey though and i havn't really seen any grows done with them,
250w for 9 plants? Lol i think ill pass. You could use a 250w in that kinda space, I started with a 250, you can get some decent nugs.
I have 3 Lumatek Ballasts a 250, 400, and 600 and they are fantastic, small, ultra quite and have boost swithes for extra lumens in late flowering No problems to speak of, I wouldn't use any other make/model of ballast, these work beautifully and they look nice too, lol I'd say your best option is the 600 But trust me!! The 600's burn Fucking Hot! MH 600s run even hotter than HPS 600s so a decent fan is 100% vital but they are superb and you wont be dissapointed - STELTHYI've got two lumateks and they're great digital ballasts. No noise, very little heat, and I haven't had any problems with them at all! Very nice ballast in my opinion. Not top of the line I might add, but haven't given me any troubles.
