those MH sunpulse bulbs really have me interested , i may try them soon. ive heard MH is better for potency but your yeild suffers from using them solely. these sun pulse bulbs are the perfect par and spectrum for flowering , supposedly. and they're MH's

what caught my eye was the fact its a 600 watt metal halide, i could not find a 600 watt metal halide bulb , all conversion (with very very shitty lumen ratings for their wattage) And you can ch

pricey though and i havn't really seen any grows done with them,
I don't think potency is affected by the light source, HPS has a bit more lumens for a little more yield and density.

I've got two lumateks and they're great digital ballasts. No noise, very little heat, and I haven't had any problems with them at all! Very nice ballast in my opinion. Not top of the line I might add, but haven't given me any troubles.
I have 3 Lumatek Ballasts a 250, 400, and 600 and they are fantastic, small, ultra quite and have boost swithes for extra lumens in late flowering :) No problems to speak of, I wouldn't use any other make/model of ballast, these work beautifully and they look nice too, lol :) I'd say your best option is the 600 But trust me!! The 600's burn Fucking Hot! MH 600s run even hotter than HPS 600s so a decent fan is 100% vital but they are superb and you wont be dissapointed :) - STELTHY :leaf:

I said a Ceramic Metal Halide...... big diff. between that and a regular 400w mh.... check the spectrum charts... awesome.... so lets say the 600watt hps puts out 60k lumens but the spectrum is only 15k lumens that the light uses... its a waste... The 400watt cmh (ceramic metal halide) puts out more usable light because of the spectrum is so vast and high .... runs cooler and will produce superior bud&yield in a sog type verticle grow... research it yourself... there are several grow journals on her that use them... One guy has a spinner grow that uses one, his yields and quality are superior..

You could do a 400/600 switchable. You can veg them under the 400mh and then switch to the 600hps for flowering. I have seen great results with the 12 lamp t-5 VHO for veg and flowering, my buddy runs them for everything! But everyone is different. I use t-5's for veg and 1000's for flowering. But yes you will feel heat from a 1000w but the exhaust heat isn't super bad, you could open a window and put 1 of those small window fans to take it out.
