1st Autoflower Mini-Harvest Pics

Just harvested 2 Speedy Gonzales plants a couple days ago. They completed their entire lifecycle amongst a closet of larger vegging plants, all still in 18/6. Only 68 days between planting the seeds in jiffy pellets and choping these little ladies down, after 72hrs darkness. Each coathanger is a plant. I'm estimating the dried/cured yield to be about 3/4oz.

Lowest yeild I've seen in a while.... what went wrong here? You know Auto flower strains have all been crossed with Ruderalis Strain right? I would never waste time gowing and auto flower. They just totally lack in potency. And look up Ruderalis, and you'll understand what i mean. Yer prolly right in your yeild estimate. 3q TOPS.

Yes, definitely less than I would have hoped for, but I can assure you I understand what autoflower/ruderalis genetics implies. These were pretty much a low-cost experiment that allowed me to yield a small unique headstash and give ruderalis a try while letting my 4 real bushes veg up. In fact, the other ladies have gotten bigger than I'd intended and I'm estimating upwards of 6oz in Feb when the next real harvest is scheduled. I believe that a big part of why these two didn't fill out too much is that they shared a 400w with 4 other 5-gallons, all much taller, meaning the light had to be a lot higher up from them than they would have liked. Either way, I can't complain. The other plants have more space now, and they'll be 2 weeks into 12/12 by the time I start puffing this stuff.

Cute autoflower. I should be harvesting my first auto soon, mine got much bigger and I just threw in my 12/12 to see what it'd do. I like autos and I'll definitely be growing some more of them.

I was pretty pleased to be able to chop something 68 days from seed. I'm sure I'll try auto varieties next time I start fresh in 18/6. I've actually still got an Early Girl in the room that probably won't begin flower for another 2-3 weeks, but it's gonna have to do it in 12/12 with the rest of them so we'll see if I get much out of it. As of now, my main interest in auto strains is the possibility to graft them onto indica/sativa bases that are still vegetating. There have been some very interesting posts on this in the Advanced Marijuana Cultivation section lately.

You make a great point. However, autoflowering cannabis has come a very long way. They now can be just as potent as their counterparts. For example, Afghan Kush Ryder has 22% THC

70 days to yield a half oz? is it really worth it to ya?
If these were all I had going, of course not. But now that these are chopped I'm putting my other 4 plants into 12/12 tomorrow: LA Haze X Purple Goo, Bubba Kush, Purple Goo X Shiva Shanti, and Early Girl (another autoflower but I figure it'll produce a little something on its own schedule even in 12/12). The Bubba Kush is by far the lushest, and I'm predicting to yield about 2oz from it alone.

lookin very nice man what light did u use?
Just a 400w hps, although it was a few feet above these plants the last couple weeks of their lives, because their sisters are all at least 2-3x that size. Earth Juice Grow for veg and Biothrive Bloom for flower. I definitely recommend these nutes, although they're pretty disgusting to work with. Anyway, 400w is all I need for myself, I'm currently less interested in huge yields as much as exceptional quality.

3-4oz is a very good yeild for 2 autoflowering plants, don't listen to the others they don't know what their talking about.

So they say! Have you smoked the evidence? I surely have, an as a full time grower/breeder....there is no convincing me. LOL.... In my experiance I grow PURE genetics from seed, 12/12 from start to fin in 65-70 days EASY! Pretty much regardless of the strain. You'll end up with better buds, take up the same rough space in the room as a Ryder. I grow Cola Clones also. A sea of 600ml pop bottle sized colas. All rooted and grown in 12/12 . These come off in 55-60 days. And I harvest every thirty days with the perpetual principals applied to this. I would love to teach these methods to stealth growers, and micro cab growers.

Man....I just pulled a 1/4+ pound dry from my 400w hps system took 58 days. Of krazy high quality buds, I'm primarily concerned with quality first....Yeild second. Come away from the dark side and come check out my plants. Here's a link. https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/380961-my-diy-400w-hps-stealth.html

That's a very cool setup, and beautiful buds. One of those plants looks almost identical to my Bubba Kush that just started 12/12 a couple days ago. Anyway, I'm not here to argue for or against ruderalis. I've been growing off and on for just 3-4 years now, and as I said this was my first experiment with autos. I've got no regrets that I invested $5 total for those seeds, and I feel like I have a more seasoned perception of how Cannabis grows and what it likes. Now, I've got 4 other plants in 12/12, and I'm loving the nugs I've got to chill on in the meantime. I simply have nothing to complain about except odor ;).

My friend got me to jump on the auto train, he's been growing em for the last year or so and they're just as dank as anything else we've grown. I just harvested my first auto and should easily pull an oz when she's all dry. I don't think thats bad for a lil over 60 days. Next year I wanna see what I can try and do with these autos outside.

I like your cab though! I kinda got something like that going on in my tent, all 12/12 all from seed with a lil over 200 watts of CFLs due to limited space. And I generally get 1+ oz per plant about every 8-9 weeks. I would like to hear more about your cloning process, I'd like to get something prepetual going but I feel like I'm getting in a bit over my head since my tent can only hold 2-3 mature plants at a time.
