Bee's & Tree's.

So my marijuana(MJ) plant is growing outdoors. About 5 feet is a rather small bee hive, but many bee's. My question is do bee's provide security for a MJ plant? Or the opposite, put a casual threat to my MJ plant. Not sure either but is it possible for a bee to have pollon from another plant and pollinate my female? And do bee's kill off insects that harm my plant? So many questions, so many helpful people out there.. Im calling for your aid today. Lol..

Thanks Everyone! Rep+! :leaf:

Having bees in your grow area may deter plant thieves from scouting the area if the encounter a lot of bees. Marijuana is not pollenated by bees, so that is not a concern. Bees are attracted to flowers that have a nectar with sugar in it, for honey production. Marijuana flowers do not have any sugar nectar to attract bees. Marijuana pollen is carried by air to the females that catch and snare pollen with resin. It would be possible for a bee to pollenate your plant accidentally, but it is highly unlikely.

I did a little research and ran into a grower that likes the bees nearby, because most animals and people hate buzzing bees flying around their head, waiting to be stung. He felt a little better knowing that bees were near his plants.

Hell ya, great to hear. I was chilling spoking a bowl where my plant is and bee's were buzzing around so it made me kinda precautios. When ya stoned you worry bout your darlings too much haha. +Rep.

My plants were about 5 feet from where the bees were in my grow area and a lot of the time i would go out and be looking at my plant and almost get stung because they sit on the buds and walk around them and crap i almost touched like 5. but i guess they do provide some security.

heres a beekeepers trick you could use for yourself, take a tin can, put some dry wood chips in it and light it so its smoking but not on fire, keep it next to you and going when you're around them. for some reason smoke calms bees down (lol yeah its funny but I'm being serious) and you should be good.

Good idea. A piece of charcoal or two at the bottom with air holes in the can, and covered with soaked wood chips should smoke for about an hour. just tap can every so often to knock off ash. There may also be heatless smoke generators available, just pop a top on a can and have it smoke...

Yup several times, the worst time though was when I did 9G's of rank boomers made into tea, then mixed with orange juice. Drank the whole mug. Was crazy messed up for 8+ hours. Intense visuals. Never again.

It was quite the experience though, to be honest I didnt think it was going to stop and I would have to go to the hospital. It just got so intense after awhile I just passed out, woke up a few hours later and thanked god I was still alive..
