New CFL 2nd grow using Scott's Hyponex Potting Soil in 6" pots

just took these pics of both grows, heres the new girls and everything is going great with these 2 new ones. the kandy kush a.k.a. kushwreck is just a little behind the rocklock which is looking very sexy after getting clipped, LoL. temps are great in the veg box with a high of 84 and down to 73 last night in the dark, just great!! i gave those girls some rain water with a few drops of schultz all purpose 10-15-10, they're loving it. checked the run off water and it was 6.4, perfect, LoL.

venus is looking very happy, i put some more soil in the bucket, i guess her roots arent that big and i need that stick holding up the big bud. i gave her some of the straight r/o water for a drink, she looks very happy, LoL.

ok, total weight for raven is.......... 21 grams dry, i mean real dry, LoL. thats 10.8 of small buds and 10.2 of the bigger ones, not bad for the brown leaf girl, LoL.

its day 125 for venus and she looking better than ever, looks like that big bud is gonna be a good one, its so dense.

Thats not bad at all with straight cfl's in that uhaul CD!! Shit I only picked up a few more grams off the Angry miget but I had that 250hid on them for half there life too..
I bet with these new strains and your experience you will be able to pull an oz + off each plant! Are you doing the side lighting still btw?

Venus is still showing a lot of growth just like my Starburst :) I think another week maybe 2 haha and they will be fully mature! I think we should both wait since we have bud too:bigjoint:

oh hell yeah bro, im happy as shit with that for what raven was, and its not to bad, i just hit the bowl a couple times on the way out to the track and i got a real good buzz on, still do, LoL. so thats why im thinking 2 weeks and i cut and the little ones will be ready to go into the flower box and i'll dry venus in the veg box and take a couple clones and they'll go in after drying, dam, LoL. did you get all that? LMAO.

ok side lighting, yes, i wanna get at least 2 of those double bulb 24" fixture to try in the flower box to start with, i want 4. the double bulb isnt much more that the single so that will be $53 for 2 of them. and bro, dig the new avatar!! thats cool.

and the really good news!! im ordering the fox farm trio as soon as i get done writing this, LoL. $48.98, shipped from ebay!!

One day i must learn to grow in soil, The watering seems so complicated, could you explain your watering procedures and frequency?

hey no problem jp, im always thinking, LoL. i just need to come up with $50 now, LoL.
on my plants, the little ones ive been watering every other day, i have straight water in the gravity fed jug and i just wet the soil good for like 30 seconds and then the next time, i used a gallon jug i have with like 7 little holes in the cap and hand water them with the schultz mix, again just till i soak the top of the soil, it runs right through pretty quick.

on the big plant, i water, right now im flushing, but when feeding, i would go till the first inch or so is dried up and give her a good soaking like every 3rd day. i guess about a pint or so each time.
 
you rock! I am so interested in doing a grow in hydro then in soil and see what if any difference there is. I am seriously thinking that the box idea you have come up with is a winner for a soil grow. I have the vanity light i bought and wired and y adapters. that will give me 6 bulbs plus side lighting. and you cant believe how many freaking pc fans i have of all sizes hehe

What did you line your box with? I found emergency blankets to be a pain in the ass to install. you seem to need a few layers

the box is 21" x 24" x 48", that emergency blanket is just right to go aroung the inside of the box. i used push pin type tacks to hold it up, start on the back and then work around to the sides and cut off a piece for the door. then just cut holes where ever you need for fans and intakes and such. mine is a 3 hole light with 8 bulbs atm, i wanna go to 10, LoL. then some chain and you hang it right from the metal bar in the top, works great. its best for a 2 plant grow.

Believe it or not I got all of that lol. It sounds like a hell of a plan, keep those girls going if you can! I would take at least 3 off each "just in case":fire:

The side lighting is just going to help that much more, remember you could always go cfl's with clamps for a cheaper side lighting alternative :) Either way I'm sure the girls will love the extra light!!

Good stuff on the fox farms, you wont be dissapointed!

yeah i know should get extra clones, so that kills the party cup deal for now, im glad i didnt start it. as for the side lighting, i looked the other day at those clamp ones, i can get 4 ($28) of those for price of 1 T5 fixture. and a pack 4 bulbs for $8. we'll see how the cash goes as to which i get. i cant wait for the nutes, i copied your feed schedule from the other day to use.
 
i would not bother with those particular t5's they r not High Output and r not 4 growing and wood b a waste of money . u seem to b over ferting dwn turned brown leaves and sativa/sativa leaning plants in general r not nute hogs.indicas like ur growing now have a peculiar dislike 4 being repotted and wood sugust u go ahead and put them in the pots they'll finish in . wont need to fertat all during veg using ffof soil as it is hot 2 begin with . be careful with the ff trio they r mightily stout and will burn your girls 2 a crisp use at 1/2 strength throughout even if following their fert schedule,less is more and its already in ffof soil . very nice ghetto grow and beautiful bagseed plants the pink is off the hook , hope u have real dank this time round good luck . :leaf:
