Mixed Spectrum bulbs in T5's

I have 2 - 4' T5 hookups. 1 used for lighting for mothers/cuts the other for veg.

Thinking using 2 blue/2 red in each. Anyone have any pix of results using the same lighting?

Dont have any pics but mixed spectrum is the best way use T5 effectively and keep them 3-5 inches away with a fan blowing across

Not sure about everywhere...But my blues/reds both cost the same.

What would happen if you use just all multi spectrum, such as 4500k?
Ive actually vegged with 2x40w at 4500k and they did well.

I run 8xT8HO and 4xT5HO in my 4'x2'x3' grow cab.

This is what I am running
Veg-
*6xT8 running 3300k bulbs
*2xT8 running 4500k bulbs
*4xT5 running 6400k bulbs

Flower-
*8xT8 running 3300k bulbs
*4xT5 running 6400k bulbs

I am running over 600watts of tube lights.
Each bulb runs near 5000 lumen.

My plants grew very strong stems, and are growing fat buds.

No recent photos. 2 weeks ago at best.

You can flower in any spectrum it just wont be as optimum if you are running high temp bulbs.

Not sure about everywhere...But my blues/reds both cost the same.

I know that there are t5, t8 and t12's manufactured specifically for budding. The last time I bought these tubes(gro"n"sho) they were about five bucks each canadian in 1987. I can only imagine that they would be way more expensive now. I abandoned them because the price of them and the price of hps are about the same, once you add it all up. They put out a spectrum much like an hps.

Sure, 'dual spectrum' hps bulbs themselves are as cheap as chips nowadays which is a very good thing.

When I do a single 1000w/hps grow I shirt the table with four foot flouresent tubes.

Most of the newer hps bulbs have dual spectrum anyway so no need to add extra red or blue etc
