I had a bit of nute burn a few weeks ago, oops, I trimmed most of it off, these pics are a little better. It's AK-47 from from HG seeds.

Sorry dude but what has happened to your plant?
It looks like you saved it from death.
I use a 400 watt hps as well and they are perfectly capable of growing big fat buds.
Let me know and i will try to help you:blsmoke:

If you give me some more info i will try to help you.

That cool tube you have.
Did you build it yourself?
If so did you use the proper type of glass to stop it from filtering out all of your essential light?
You will have serious problems getting a decent amount of veg from a hps bulb alone as they only emit red light.
I compensate for this by using a dual spectrum bulb and 2 cool blue fluorescent tubes.

Your plant looks to be nute burnt and fed with unfiltered tap water.:blsmoke:

thanks for the help, is your plant only 2 weeks into flowering? It looks a bit older than that. Did you notice that I'm scrogging?

Yea, I mentioned two min ago that I had nute burn about 3 weeks ago, I had to trim a lot of the dead foliage off. What can I do? I learned not to burn them, by reading the instructions twice.

I'm using mineral water 300 ppm from the grocery store, I buy it in gallon jugs, and nutes from the local 'dro store. I'm in soilless mix and I'm shooting for 600-700 ppm. Any suggestions?

I purchased the cool tube 'bout $85. I think it's borosillicate glass. I don't think they give any consideration to spectral integrity when they make this glass by the way, its selection is based purely on its low thermal expansion.

I vegged under a mh 400W.

Yes man 2 weeks flowering that is.
Pics below show development and my own nute burn problems.
Wont matter what water or nutes you use if you have no blue light.
All of my plants were nute burnt as well.
I would suggest that your real problem is no blue spectrum.
Nutes can be flushed out of the pot easily:blsmoke:

Well for a 400 mh bulb that is the skinniest ak47 i have ever seen,no offence.
Something must have gone seriously wrong somewhere.
As far as i know thats the proper kind of glass for a tube but i dont know if it or what it filters as i dont use them.
Sorry cant be of more help maybe it was just such serious nute burn your burnt the root system as well as the leaf.
Do you have a lot of perlite in your mix?:blsmoke:

It's 7% perlite. I fed it with 1500 ppm, I'm pretty sure that's why it burned, when I'm shooting for 650 ppm

Try 20% perlite and you've probably burned the fine haired root systems right off unless you flushed it through within 24 hours.
Use mycorihazea fungus to repair the root functions and your plant will come back to life:blsmoke:

by the way, your plant is 6 feet tall, while mine is 10" :)
No that plant was about 42" tall at the final harvest day.
If you do what i told you your plant will come back to life.
Its easy to think i am a lier but because i have about 3000 pictures i selected as near as possible without going through many pages and folders.
The first pic i posted was somewhere near enough around 2-3 weeks into flowering.
Listen dont listen thats you choice:blsmoke:
This plant is 6" tall.
