So I have dried them and put them in jars. Opened jars every day for over two weeks and now they are dry completely. I bought this thing that sucks all the air out of the jars and want to know how long the bud will stay fresh now..? Thanks

it should stay fresh for a while, but remember it will dry out more everytime u open the vac. but ya i dont think it will go bad by the time u smoke it. i would estimate like 2 months u would be able to see a difference

Well I have way to much to smoke so how can I make it last and stay fresh?? Lots of fantastic buds. Figured it would stay good in these jars with no or minimal air for longer than that??

haha yeah they actually last more than you might think`:P if they're too dry you can put them in a baggy with a few orange peels. it soaks up the moisture but no:( it does not make it taste like orange :(

ive had some weed that i forgot about for about 4 months and it was still fine
but you do have to watch out for mold

if you feel its a bit wet you can put it into a baggy with a few skins to soak up the moisture - but dear god - this isnt a method for curing :I i got some serious mold :(

but im a disgusting bastard and smoked it anyway :)

Well that is great but I would need a private freezer and a bigger one as well.. Like I said I have like 30 mason jars full of buds. I think if I open and check every two weeks or so and keep them in 75 degree dark dry location in an air tight jar with no air they will keep for a long while. But not sure if only mold is what will make them not last. Does it not take over a month to cure dry bud to a good smoke in the first place??

well you could look into bigger jars man that much glass is prolly takeing up almost as much space as your buds lol after my buds have cured a lil longer then two weeks i dont taste much differnce after that, cureing dosnt change the flavor as much as it smoth's the smoke out thats a common mistake people make they think if there buds dont taste good a cure will solve the problem but it dosnt. Also i use vacum bags it kinda squishies the bud but mines all personal so i dont give a shit. but i have heard people say they keep buds just in a cool dark place for a year plus and its all good no noticable potency loss so as long as your buds are dry enough not to get mold you should be fine what ever you do

If you can vacuum pack the jars, pack them in small jars. I have stored herb for 2 years that way without refrigeration and it was still ok. It wasn't the greatest after that amount of time, but it worked.
