right guys i think i might need to flush the plants, a couple more leaves are yellowing around the edges and still showing green vains. one or 2 of the first set of leaves have started to curl. In simple mans terms how do i flush. Do i just continue with my normal watering cycle for a week or 2 with just water???
A picture paints a thousand words my friend...

How do you know for sure it needs flushing and not feeding...?

Alright lads my order from Attitude came today but left me with a question on the labelling. The Dinafem freebies they sent me were Critical + and Cloud 9. The Critical has 90% after it on the label and the Cloud 9 has 60%. What's it mean? Is it the chance of germination considering they're 2nd grade seeds?

Have any of you lads tried a Waterfarm?
No mate, haven't tried it but it looks ok, I don't generally like drip systems, I like the idea of the air being dragged into the roots after a good flood, but then this system has good aeration of the nutrient solution, so I'm sure it works great.

And it can be modularised and all that, the single pots would probably need changing often, so a reservoir system would be much beter. The bigger the res, the more buffering you'll get, the less often you'd have to change the solution, or mess another with ph and ppm etc.

I just liked flood and drain, it's simpler, no blocked lines, air stones are not strictly necessary, it's low maintenance, and simple to setup. I'm sure, waterfarms and Dwc pots, and bubbleponic systems ands
all of those things give great results, but I don't know if all the hassle really gives any benefits , all things considered.

I recieved my order from Attitude too. Got 2 x Blackberry, 2 x Maui Waui and a free Amnesia Haze. Got my 10 freebies. I can see why they are freebies. Got 5 Blue Hash and 5 Critical +. The blue hash seeds are almost white. Anyway the Critical says 90% and the blue hash says 95%.

Any ideas ?

Well lads! I'm still in the planning/research phase of my first grow but I signed up here after seeing this thread, it's great to see so many Irish with green fingers out there. I've been reading through this thread over the last few days and I'm well impressed. Decided on growing after getting back from the states, where my mates could call up their dealer and he'd list of what strains he had on the go! I've never heard of hook-ups like that over here so I decided to get the green finger out and give it a lash. I'm looking at either AK-48 or Northern Lights Auto from Nirvana seeds, but I won't be ordering for another while - I'm going to sort out a grow space and the like first.

Anyways, just said I'd pop in and say well! Props to the lot of ye!

hi fellas
well i got my light set up and the light from it hurts my eyes but i think its the uv because its not blinding just different. while i was up there checking on the big one i found a new shoot in the soil, is it possible for another plant to grow without putting seed in?
jingle i think when the leaves curl up its something theyre lacking, all mine curled down, ill get back to ytou on that mate dont worry too much.

How did it turn out in the end, definitely worth it then? What was the total yield from all your plants then? It did seem like it was the perfect summer this year, all the indoor growers were probably killed trying to keep the heat down in their grow rooms lol.

Anyway, very well done, hows the smoke? WHat were you growing again?

"Your glass is empty O'Flaherty, will you be having another?" "And why would I be wanting two empty glasses?" replied O'Flaherty.

Paddy was coming through the customs at the airport carrying a large bottle. "What have you there?" said a suspicious customs officer. "Tis Lourdes holy water. I am bringing it home with me", said Paddy. "The officer took the bottle and tried some." Why it's Irish whiskey!" he spluttered. "Lord bless me!" said Paddy, "another bloomin`miracle."

Looks like the roots are suffocating, maybe not enought drainage in the compost, is there any perlite in there or sand of something for drainage. Could be a pythium problem if the roots havent been getting enough oxygen. If its peat based compost, it often a problem.

I would repot them in a mix of 1/4 perlite and good John innes no.2.

Jingle this is a really really silly question but I forgot to do it with one of mine and it died a horrible death (one of the window ones not the cupboard) did you wash your pots before you used them? The dust and that left from the pots after production or after a grow can murder your plants over time. You seem to have the right lights, soil and nutrients so the only other thing other than cold temperature would be the pots.
