my buddy told me that if you let a plant veg for to long it will use all its energy to grow and when you put it in bud it wont bud as much because all the energy would be used on growing. my theory is the bigger the plant the more the bud and if im right is it worth the time to wait and let it grow:weed:

You are correct. Longer veg = more flowers. You should probably wait until the plant is sexually mature before throwing it into flower though, at a minimum. If its grown from seed you can identify when its sexually mature by when it emits the first pre-flowers. This is usually around 6-8 weeks from the date it first popped soil. If its a clone and its rooted, you can throw it into flower asap.

Hope that helps.

Supercropping involves twisting/pinching/bending the stems to damage the plant tissue and force it to repair itself (thus enhancing the growth of that area)...its a form of low stress training, aka LST, topping, fimming, supercropping, LST'ing are all forms of LST. Various ways to basically manipulate the plant into optimal light/positions in the provided space.

I pick a spot few inches down from the top of each main cola - use the tip of my fingers to sort of pinch / squeeze or smash the insides of the stem to break the insides of the stem until it starts to get weak and lean - then I do it a little more trying to get to top half of the branch to bend close to 90 degrees. You dont want the stem to snap or break so be careful. I sometimes do it too hard and need to put a little support back to the bend- I'll use a little scotch tape around the bent for a week then take it back off. I've even snapped the branched half way and it usually recovers ok using the tape. I'm pretty new to this and learning, but thought I would give you my experience with bending.

Topping you simply cut the top cola off the plant so it stops growing tall - instead forces the plant to grow fatter and more branches below the cut.

+REP is giving someone else "REP" or reputation. It is kind of like "style" points for RIU forums if you will! :P
