Trichomes question

Hey everyone, just had a question for ya. Lately I've been a little worried. My sativa hybrid is a 10 week flowering plant. It's now on it's 12th week and still no amber trichomes. Maybe 1-2 percent. 98 percent milky. I'm just woundering how fast does it take for a plant to start really getting amber from my point? I'm looking for around 55-60 amber. (love couchlock high). I've been flushing for 34 days now. Looooottttsss of nutrients it had to eat off. It's just now starting to eat the leaves, so they yellow. Any help vastly appretiated. This is my first plant. ( I'll never grow sativas again, indicas only)

You should be seeing it soon my sativas usual take around 8 weeks to show mostly amber could be just a slow strain

a lot of people feel it is best to harvest when most are milky. Supposedly when they turn amber it's already breaking down and past it's peak. This is a hotly debated topic. If you want to see if there is a difference yourself, harvest and cure some now and leave some until it turns amber and then harvest. You can have a side by side comparison from the same plant that way and determine what YOU think is best.

Id go with both. Chop off some of the milky goodness now and let the rest mature a bit more if thats what your looking for.

Hey guys, I had a general question about trichomes. I planted a couple bagseeds from a purple strain and I noticed that the fan leaves are showing milky trichome tops it looks like. Anyone know what this is? Is it an auto? The seedlings are on the 6th or 7th node right now. Also, one of the plants has a natural split at the first node and has 2 plants growing out of it.

See all those little speckles? Under a scope they look like the caps of a trichome.



Here is the natural split at the first node. Anyone ever see this happen?

cant go by any one thing you must be able to judge when it is ripe total package pistils trichs leaves changing some strains i heard trichs hardly change so you must gage by other signs --ripe , ready is judged by hole plant trichs one indicator cant be the only one cause of plant variations

i have seen amber before plant is done and no amber when plant is done

some plants start producing trichomes right off the bat, looks like you got one. It doesn't have anything to do with being auto. Some plants just produce a lot more trichomes than others, and some earlier than others.
