Cold cellar ventallation

So Im in the process of setting up my room in my cold cellar 5'x6'x7'. My plan is to run a DWC system with 4 5 gallon buckets and a 400Hps. Since I cannot draw air from outside to ventilate the room. I will be useing a carbon scrubber in the room to draw "basement air" in through a vent at the bottom of the door and exhaust it back into the basement. Does anyone see any problems with this setup. Thanks

What I do with rooms that the walls can't be compromised, I install a short door and run my vent tubing overhead. Be sure that equal or positive air pressure developes in the op when using ventilation. Thin air can cause fertilizers to react quiker and can cause harm to your plants. Should do a nice job keeping your basement at about the right temp. Large room, small lightbulb. New homes are required to come with positive air exchange already and that includes the basement.

nope not a problem at all as long as it keeps the room around 76 degrees and within 10-15 +/- when the lights are off, and since its a cellar during the winter you will want to use a piece of insulating material in between your buckets and floor it will keep the cold from seeping into your buckets!!!

Thanks for the reply bird mcbride im thinking of just cutting a whole close to the top of the door to exhaust it back to the basement, so in through the bottom scrubbed back out the top

He's right about insulating your op from the floor also. I use a piece of venting and with a small fan I pump the canopy air under my rootbed 24/7.

Thats right kush its all about the insulation lol since im in the industry the ceiling and walls 4' below grade are polyurathane foamed. We do that all the time in other cold cellars keeps out the cold but lets enough coolness in through the lower uninsulated part of the poured foundation.
