I just ordered OG #18 from attitude, im using RO water i said fuck it and bought a system. My tap water is like 300ppm, everything looks great but im running into a Cal/Mg Def, i was foliar feeding tho until i got my cal-mag in the mail.. just did a res swap with fresh nutes(500ppm) and Cal-Mag+
My stems 1 week into veg are as fat as mine were 8 weeks into flowering with soil!
They are beasts and ive kept the PPMs really low at around 300, Upping it now but i have cannolope and powerplant so im better off keeping them lower then too high

Hey all,
Im a soil grow at moe, Its my first so. I am very intersted in going onto areo for my next grow as it seems the most effecient. So would you suggest an areo kit instead of building my own?
I have many other questions, a few are, How often do you clean the areo chamber? Just at the end of the grow? Can you recomend a good reailble mister/pump,or maufactors of areo syetems?
Any info, suggested reading(already have the bible so), suggested companied etc. ?

I have Ed Rosenthals indoor grow bible when i started old edition with drawings instead of photos of pot... It doesnt matter... Names like that are all gonna have the same info...
I grew for awhile in a top feed hydroponic system i made until somebody started saying organic is better... i just had to find out... 4 grows later im back to hydro..
for ideas on units to buy just google hydrofarm or aeroflo2

I have an AeroFlo36 with the 40 gal res. Here's a few things that I've discovered through trial and error.
Keep the res at or below 70 deg. Warm water equals low O2 on the roots, Bad Bad Bad!!!
Don't over feed.! Lucas Formula works great with Aero +/- 950 ppm @ .5 scale.
pH @ 5.8
Don't veg too long, you'll have monsters taking over your grow room and roots everywhere.

I was getting nute burn at 500+ ppm, I got a fish tank heater in there set at 69.
Very healthy but ran into a cal/mag def. so i added cal-mag+ they are looking better
straight monsters! will never go back to soil

1 suggestion, when the roots get long make sure you have an airstone at the bottom of your tote or whatever you're using (if the roots can hit the water that is)..
