My room has two windows, each encased with a custom built box that fits over the blinds so they look normal from the outside (see pics). Do you guys think it would be helpful to exhaust air through a closed window? I'd basically just be venting to the custom box and hope the air seeps through the windows while it's closed. Windows are not 100% air tight after all. My concern is that it will have little to no effect, or the air will just bleed right back into my room rather than going outside. I do not want to open a window because it would looks suspicious most of the year, plus the air flow sound might be too loud that way. So would it be beneficial to exhaust air to a closed window? Or is this pointless?

Yea you need to vent though an open window....
You only really need to open the window about....1/4" - 1"....Which is barely noticeable from the outside, and will provide decent airflow for exhaust.
Then, once you're comfortable with it, attach some L brackets or similar to make sure they cannot be opened or closed from the outside or inside.

or option B hahahaha get a stealth exhaust fan rig it up high have both windows cracked a little bit run exhaust duct to 1 window cut a hole in one of them boards covering window for exhaust duct use one for exhaust other will naturally force air in like a vacumm cleaner if roon is sealed it will work not the best way to do it but should work monitor ur heat in room al i can say
Na, I can't force air in from the outside, my weather gets pretty extreme here.

I would say that is inevitable.
You should ideally vent all your hot air as far away from your growing environment as you can!

Man you're the second person that says attic w/ carbon scrubber. I think I'm going to look into that, especially since I'm worried about outside smell and the fogging of the window and noise level too. I do have an attic vent (two actually) but I can't get to them because the attic is so small and the insulation used is at least a foot thick. So I just vent straight up into the attic but apparently the smell seeps through somewhere. The ducting system for my lights (which draws nonsmelly air from another room) now use the attic hole, but maybe I can't implement a 'Y' duct adapter for the carbon scrubber and new fan.
ok I am making some assumptions here. The non smelly air that runs through your lights still should be non smelly (if it is all sealed)when it leaves your lights so that non smelly air could be vented in another part of the house. The carbon scrubbers work great. I would try just that first dumping the air in the attic. Then if you still get smell attach a fan to that roof vent somehow.
You're correct, but I'm trying to be as stealth as possible so I can't have the jet air flow sound running throughout the house. I do already actually but only in one room from the intake, but that is my bedroom and nobody really goes in there so it's ok. I could potentially reroute the ducting back towards my room but then I'd have to drill another hole in the dry wall plus curves in ducting is bad. But I guess all that doesn't matter now because I went out today and bought another 440cfm fan, a carbon filter, and a Y duct adapter! I literally just got done setting it all up so we'll see how it works here in a bit. So now both fans are pushing straight up into the attic through the Y adapter. If I still have the smell, I'm probably going to have to figure out how to get to those vents in the attic to attach ventilation to it.
