Hi, title pretty much sums it up. I have 10 easy ryder's that are 2 days old, I have them in my closet under a 600W HPS that is air-cooled.. How far should they be from the light? I'm really worried about stretching, but I don't want to fry them! please help!

I believe with a 600 watter you want to be at least 3-5 ft from the plants, you dont want them to get too hot. I would recommend some flourecents for young seedling and early veg you can keep them almost on top of the plant and avoid stretching and heat issues all at once.

Get a thermometer and see what temps you are running. My air cooled 600 can go within a foot of seedlings because it does not put out much heat. Do not worry about stretching since you have a 600w and the only way to get stretching would be to have the light 3 feet above them lol Keep it a foot and a half and adjust according to how the plants react.

u might want to just go to walmart and pick up a 20-30w cfl for now so that it can be a few inches away.
That will work well for a day or two until they get a lil stronger just to play it safe iof you don't have previous knowledge of light heights. Good post ;]
