you should leave a min max thermo up there for a few days just to get an idea of the temps you see for this season.

Also what make is your led?

The temps dont fluctuate that much since it is insulated.
The UFO is an Illuminato90W from Prosource. There are others but after some reading of all the marketing stuff i figured if Im only going to do 90W I'll try to get the best 90W LED i can find..

All's well in this push. My temperatures started to drop so I dialed in the Heater/Fan to keep the temp stable and voila! Told you guys I got the temps under my thumb.. :D
gonna veg for another week or so bring her to her full recommended maturity age then clone and flower. The clone I take I'll push that one with another strain (not sure which yet), I'lm leaning towards the G13 beans I ordered. If they get here soon enough I can germ, and veg for a week or 3 and let it try to catch up with the Shining SH that I'll be cloning. That way I'll put both the G13 and the Shining SH under the scrog together after the veg for a while and I get a chance to harvest the push I have going now...

That's the plan..

what are your res tanks made of? i understand the res dont get boiling hott but it probablly does throw off some heat.thats just more heat in a hott area.for example when u pour hott coffee into a coffee-mug the mug gets warm to the touch cuz the coffee warmed it up.

whats a air circulation pump? are you talking about exhaust fans in the bathroom's and kitchen? everyone has those.unless you have air conditioning vents in the attic there is not going to be cool air up there.i havent really seen house's with a/c in the attic.
fans only push around air,your just pushing around hot air. they dont provide air conditioning.

what about water source? your gonna have to be carrying alot of water up to the attic. + hoping you dont spill any up there that will cause leaks and rot threw the ceiling.
its not going to be cheap to grow in the attic. i had to bring all my shit down and setup in my bedroom. i know your having security issues with ur mother in law but you should plan this out better b4 ur plants die on you up there.

smooth points man.. biggest being my concern over spilling water up ther. But as you see i put the res's on a rubber mat and when I'm mixing I'm mixing in a 25L red and i'm only mixing 12L. So i try to stay somewhat in the safe zone you know. I dont have to worry about the heat because I have that portable AC which i can vent out of a roof slot. and in the winter I can break out the portable programmable space heater. I only need to run another line off of a new breaker for electricity...

In the end i will either have to really semi waterproof up there some way or do as you did and move down.

Remember that LED has ZERO heat signature.

You're right, let me rephrase, the guy spoke of heat signatures, LED does not have any heat signature that infra red detectors can see, unlike HID. So to rephrase LED does not show up like HID which is what I meant. Happy???

So dude's you guys are goin at it over heat sigs. Dude where I live small growers are the least of their concerns. If only they had people like me to worry about leo'd be happy. But someone mentioned fluctuating temperatures being a problem. And even though I see the plants are doin just OK I'm stressing over this rollercoaster fuckin pH level; I adjust then it shoot, I adjust and it shoots. fuck. 11 liters of water and some freakin nutes how the hell can pH destabilise . Fucking A dude!!! this is fucking frustrating my ball hairs off!!!

Ok OK here are some pics showing how BAD they look. Hopefully it was just the heat. If so i will see a change in about 5 Hours. Thats when I have lights back on for these girls... I'm at day 63 since Germ (started push in sub prime conditions so not much growth. I moved them from soil to a proper blubber for the rooting stage on day 14 of vegetation. Directly on Advanced Nutrients Sense Grow A&B + a few additives @70% of recommended concentration. Threw them into flowering @ day 64, i didn't want them to get to big for the scrog. And now I've stunted growth , High unstable ph, and a snapped main branch from pushing it too hard trying to get it under the scrog!!!!

hey, nice set up bro. You will run into a heat problem growing in the attic but there is help on the way. For $100 you can go get a window A/C unit. If you build a completely enclosed room you can build a rack on the side of that room to fit the AC unit in and then just enclose the rest of the way around it with plywood. :) I helped a friend do an attic grow, he just didn't understand that he couldn't grow effectively when it was 90 degrees. Once he finally put in the window unit AC he was able to grow throughout the hot months but only enough cool from 1 unit for a 600 HPS.

So after some investigations (a lot of reading and discussion with my wife), I've finally decided to rely on the instruments i have. I broke out the EC meter and checked. In Res A which is running the FNP (Full Nute Pack) the EC was @ 3.63 ummmm a bit much.... Res B was @ 3.04. So i took out a few liters and filled them both with some pH balanced water. until I got the balance of:

Res A (EC 3.31 @ 6.0 pH)
Res B (EC 3.41 @ 6.1 pH)

I've got about 3 hours before lights out I'll check levels just before then..

They make rolls of highly reflective aluminum that you staple to the rafters on the roof. I would use that with a solar powered attic fan to reduce heat signature. I would also Taylor the light cycle to reduce temps at night .
