126 Watt Penetrator LED vs. 120 Watt Doberman Growl LED

So I have both these lights available to me and thought I'd run an experiment. I just recently purchased the 126 watt penetrator after doing some research online to add to the 120 watt Doberan Growl I purchased 8 months back. I have 4 white widows from non-feminized seeds, here's hoping I have at least 2 I can continue testing with, if I have a 3rd she'll be converted to a mother over in another tent. I plan on transfering the plants from their plastic pots to fabric smart pots.

Looks good so far. What's the difference in price for the two units?
I don't mean to be a downer, but if you want scientific results
you should use clones and not seeds.

Subbed for this. I've got an LED grow going along now too, using HTG Supply 120W Tri-Bands. Link is in the sig..

can't wait to see dry weight results.

@miteubhi Yeah, I totally agree, so this at best will be anecdotal. Both were the same, $475 ea the Doberman Growl was purchased 10 months ago, and the Penetrator just was delivered last week. My intent is to make the weaker of these two a mother light and put a 300-360 watt LED as my primary in the tent which is 40x40.

Penetrator definitely pulling ahead here, though I do have runt on the Doberman side that also has a case of leaf burn on one of it's leaves, intend to flush all within the week with r/o water ph'ed 6.5 tap water here ph is 7.5-8.0

I am looking forward to watching the progress.. I have a stealth led 300w that is legit for veg, not so sweet for the yield but nice buds. cant wait to compare to your results

Nice to see an LED vs LED comparison. Most often I find flame wars between LED vs non-LED.

Photo from the iPhone today....

Transplanted yesterday to #3 Smartpots with Ocean Forest soil. Since they are in these fabric pots (I won't use any but for soil) and I bubble my water, I don't see a need to further thin the OF with pearlite. I've got a runt on the Doberman side, the other is just as tall as the Penetrator plants but not as many nodes & leaves, both are very bushy as seems to be normal for LED

The Growl LED light, correct me if I'm wrong, also puts out UV spectrum light...whereas the Pentrator does not. That looks to be the case if Im not mistaken... UV helps increase THC production during flowering in small amounts. I am interested in your results here..keep us posted.

leds are a joke the only thing there good for is raves...haha they cost way to much especially compared to a regular hid system but he if you got the money... why not

The benefits of growing with LED's far outweigh the high startup costs. They pay for themselves in a single harvest anyways...
