This is the Autoflower cage match thread. We like pictures of the contenders in the contest this thread was created for.

You are not a contestant yet you keep posting your grow. In fact, you are copy and pasting your grow in other threads. PROOF! <----Click

You don't comment on anyone's grow, you don't comment on topic and you just comment on your own OFF-TOPIC grow.

Why do you insist on posting your auto grow over and over again?

Frankly, I'm so confused as to who's in & who's out... who's growing what, and such... I gave up giving a shit.
For awhile I'd look at a post, scratch my head, search back to see what's what, and go from there. Now, It's like 3-4 that I consider actually "in". The rest are just "posters (posers?)". - LOL
I swear, some folks get their jollys just fucking things up and making life difficult for others. (Like you mentioned, "Talking Football in a Baseball conversation.")
The people that keep posting non-contender pictures in this thread remind me of the folks that insist on putting a elevator in a outhouse!

In the second cage match, I am changing some entering rules that should be crystal clear.

I would rather have 3 contenders that follow simple instructions than 100 contenders that don't.

Some of our contestants are not helping killing the myth "pot makes you stupid". I hope other people realize that there is a difference between stoned and stupid.

Looks like were having some problems in the cage. I don't know what to do about people posting a bunch of random pictures and comments except to ignore them. I'm having fun following this thread and comparing my plant to everybody else's. I know who is competing and who is randomly posting off topic material.

I'm trying to post an update with pictures about once a week, so here goes:
My roadrunner is now 22 days old and still hasn't show a flower, it also looks a lot smaller than some of the other contenders. other than that it looks healthy, no signs of any nute defficiencies. I'm not worried yet because my purple mazars started like this and are now looking really good. I saw someone said that these plants can get 3 feet tall, so maybe a slow start is kind of good. I only have about 20" available plant height in my cabinet. If I don't see any flowers in a couple more days I'm going to put it in my flower cabinet for a couple days to see if that kicks things off.

This is my roadrunner side by side with a haze auto that was started on the same day. The RR is on the right. The haze auto is really small, but showed it's first pistels yesterday. I thought the point of autos was to finish really fast so I'm making a note of the fastest growing strains for future seed selection.

Lets keep the cage match clean everybody. Don't post a bunch of off topic stuff. I'm going to throw some pics of my other auto's on the group pictures.

Thats a lovery healthy little RR to me, better than mine at that age. I would have a very close look at node 4, preflower look tiny at first. heres a couple of pictures of mine at about that age to compair



if you have enough light, in may case to much. you may even seed growth under the seed leafs. At your plants age you will notice she will start to really kick off and things get more intresting! look out for roots out the bottom!

I was bummed that I didn't notice the thread until it was too late for entry. I think Kulong has a great idea with this thread and that's why I continue to follow. Hoping to learn a few things about autos and would like to enter the next time around as long as Kulong doesn't get too discouraged to do this again.

I went ahead and germd my autos and am growing them but am not posting pics in here since I'm not in. I ordered a few more auto seeds to have on hand just in case it works out for another 'cage match'.

Day 15 from the moment I put it in the dirt. Not sure if I'm counting the days correctly so I could be a day off. Nevertheless here is Mable day 15 give or take a day. I haven't been using any nutes as this is FFOF soil, so I'm going to wait until day 30 to start giving her some flowering nutes. I had planned on switching over to HPS on day 14, but decided I'd wait until day 20 to do that. She is starting to smell a bit so I'm really excited to start seeing some flowering really soon.

Can anyone tell me if the molasses you get from the grocery store is the same molasses that I can put with my next feeding? Thanks for looking guys, and please feel free to critique if its warranted.

Maebel looks good, good name too, I have a dog named Maebel. If I were you i would switch out the lights as soon as your plant shows its first flowers.

The molasses at the grocery store is the stuff you want, Grandma's and Braer Rabbit are the most common brands I believe. Make sure it is unsulphered, I think it says on the label. You can also use honey, maple syrup or any other kind of sugary liquid and it's supposed to do the same thing. I use agave nectar to give my plants a little local flavor.

I don't get discouraged easily. This is a new thing for me too and I have a lot to learn from running the cage as well. I already have started a layout of the next competition with some adjusted rules.

Also, if you want to post your pics of your autoflower strains that are not contenders, go to my Cage Match group and post away! I made it just for photos and talking all things auto's!

Looking great hitman. Nice and compact. You can start the HPS now if you want. I started mine at day 13, maybe before. What wattage is the HPS?

Only 250watts. I had the thing apart and the ingnitor and ballast are both 400watt but when I put those bulbs in, the temps were too much and the hood started to smell. So I'm thinking that while the guts have the power, the design of the hood isn't rated for those kind of temps. I think I'll be okay though, as I'm only going to have 3 plants going at a time.
