how much baking soda should i add and how its a 1/2 gallon pot and the water run off was 5.4 and got it up to 5.8 by flushing with 7.0 water. like 6x the pot size.

well if i mix baking soda with my water and add it to the soil will it keep the ph put a little it was at 5.4 and i got it up to 5.7 i only have home depot around me the closest hydro store is 3 and a half hours away from me.

Sheesh, my tap water is all I need to raise pH - the stuff comes out of the tap at about 8.5, nasty stuff ... I wonder what it is doing to my health.

no im using mg soil which is acidic soo i need to raise it up. any more help anyone how much baking soda to use i have some right now i just need an answer and no one is answering it.

Just add a little, test the pH ... repeat until you get the pH that you want - no one can tell you exactly how much to add.
Exactly. Start out will a 1/8 tsp per gallon. If you get your batch of water too high, just add some vinegar till it tests where you want it.
