Forgot to tell you I am from the north. Michigan to be exact. Love it there but I like to get away from the snow. Shoveling the white stuff off the roof is not what I call fun.

Want to see an absolutely beautiful lake? Check out Torch Lake, MI. Along time ago the National Geographic Magazine called it the most beautiful freshwater inland lake in the world. It is Caribbean blue and just incredible with parties on the sandbars pretty much all the time. Places like that keep me in Michigan.

Wow, what a view. Mine is not nearly as beautiful.
This is what I see in the summer
And this is what I see in the winter
Winter view? For some reason I thought you to be further north.
I like your ginormous lawn & the little yellow flag.

Torch lake does look nice. If not Mi in the winter, where is your golf course home?

Another shot from the back deck, focusing on a neighboring island.
Winds are pretty calm today, but a 4.5' swell is booming right into the beach and even getting into the cliffs at high tide.
Can you imagine the racket while you're trying to sleep.

Home for part of the winter is in the Cape Coral/Ft. Myers area. Sometimes I think I'm the youngest person in the town. lol.

Where do you live? It looks incredible.

BA thread! I would put up a pic, because its where i spend every night just sitting there chillin', but its nothing really at all, all you can see is trees...

But yeah GWN your shit is bad ass, and all the moutain view pics are insane. I've been to Alaska once and I am going back someday. Something has drawn my mind back to that place since I have left. I think its the mountains and ocean...nothing beats that.

If you love mountains and the sea as much as I do you simply cannot live any other place.
I don't know what it is, but being up in the alpine hunting Dall sheep or Mt. goats is my "Happy place" & I go there as often as I can.
[Trivia question] "Tree line is beneath me". (who said that?)

Edit: We have nothing against trees as scenery - postem.
Also I felt compelled to post a few more pics - not from my deck but from my last Moose hunt in the Alaska range (Sept 15th-ish 2010). Taken at around 6000', far above treeline. Saw some "Booner" sheep up there last month and managed to take a very nice ram from that very gulley (another 1500' up) in 08 but being a limited tag area I couldn't take another.
