Newbie with some Q's about DWC

Greetings everyone!
First of all, I have never grown via DWC/hydroponics. I am thinking about making my own setup using a large rubbermaid storage container (like a 30 gallon or something) and using parts from a pet store.
That much I think I can handle, yay me! w00t! :clap:
My question is, does hydro require all the fancy nutrients and additives? I know buying the dozen products would get expensive.
What would be an easy beginners approach regarding nutes and schedules? Thanks! All replies welcomed!

GH3 part stands for General Hydroponics 3 part solution it comes in three bottles Grow Micro and Bloom you add them in diff ammounts depending on what phase of growth youre at.

Make sure your res is completely light proof, get a really good air pump, try to keep temps in the ressy down.

I am currentling using General Hydroponics Flora Micro, Flora Bloom and Kool Bloom (bit later in flowering). All quart jugs that should last me a few grows with 2-3 plants, cost localy about 55 bucks. Probably could saved a bit online but still not bad for run and pick it up.

Follow this and you should be golden! My Ph stays between 5.7 and 5.9.


==The Recipe==

(All Products are GenHydro,pH at 5.5 pH) - (All measurements are per gal.)
6ml flora micro
9ml flora bloom
Kool-Bloom POWDER

VEGETATIVE STAGE AT 24 HRS. LIGHT ON - (18/6,optional)

Veg,Feed:

6ml flora micro
9ml flora bloom

Use the above 1/2-strength on seedlings and clones to 10" tall, then feed full-strength>on.


Based on 63 day 12/12 Flower Cycle:

Day 1-14
6ml micro
9ml bloom

Day 15-21
6ml micro
9ml bloom
1 tsp./Gal. Kool-Bloom POWDER (ONE FEED,DAY 15!)

Day 22-28
6ml micro
9ml Bloom

Day 29-35
9ml Bloom
1 tsp./gal. Kool-Bloom POWDER (ONE FEED,DAY 29!)

Day 36-52
9 ml Bloom
(AND ON DAY 36,a 1 tsp./gal Kool-Bloom POWDER Slam!!)

Day 52-63 (Flush)
5.5-6.0 pH h20 at 50 ppm
