Rain Water I am use it and I need HELP

Hi guys like it said I am using rain water. We even have a big rain barrel that is suppose to be UV blocking. But my water is turning green.

Want to know can I use a algaecide or does any body have any tricks that they can pass on that might help.

I used Hydrogaurd by botanicare. I don't use rain water however, but i do use it in my rez, to ensure that no bacteria nor algae grow in the rez. It is good for the plants, helps to strengthen the root system and is an easy preventative to all the water growing organisms.

Interesting. You could treat it with iodine possibly?

I have friends using rainwater for hydroponics. They add hydrogen peroxide twice a week to their rain barrels. 35% works best.
