You've got plenty to grow! Mix one-third each of good soil, compost, and coir, and you'll have a nice airy mix.

Leave the foam on your beer. :eyesmoke:

Vermiculite is used to produce cat litter filling, that white stuff filled into cat boxes... but i'm not too sure if those fillers make a good medium since they are highly fuid absorbing. didn't try it so far, so lets see what the others have to say about it:-)

nope no cat litte rthey add purfumes and other harsh crap that react with your pussy LOL

coir is great stuff to lighten the soil mix, so ,make a nice smooth mix of peet moss and compost with some light fertilizer (too much will make flowering odd) and make sure theres enought coir to procure proper drainage.

Just for conversation purposes, the Vermiculite is used to retain moisture in the mix. Perlite is used to lighten up the mix and allow air to circulate. A good mix for seedlings and/or cuttings would be 50/50 Vermiculite and Perlite.

all you need is some clean sharp sand or grit, mix 3lts of medium with 1lt of grit, fill an 8" or 10" pot & soak it. give the pot 15mins to drain off, The growing medium should not stick or clump together, it is important that any excess water can get away rather than sit in the bottom of the pot where it will fester & go rank, please remember your plants can drown & die, oh yes they can!!:hump:
