so i just copped an ak from one of my close friends. Im super excited to hit a range this weekend. I havent been shooting in forever. Ive shot the .22 and the 12guage (love trap shooting) but cant wait for this semi auto rifle. Anyone into gun/shooting as a hobby??? (all responsible shooters only). 7.26x39mm caliber for all u interested
***anyone know the legistics of rifles in NY, i know you dont need a liscense for rifles but not to sure on how i go about changing the registration of the gun bc all the numbers/paperwork is in my firends name and i doubt he wants the responsibility if he doenst have the gun.

Well, there is no national registration so unless you have local restrictions I would just do a dated bill of sale signed by both parties & call her a done deal.

you may want to be careful with that bananna clip though, I think anything that holds more than 30 rds is illegal. Not sure on that but other wise looks like an AK. They are reliable but accuraccy leave you wanting more.

Nah that bananna can only hold 10-single layer (limit) looks bigger then it is, I have a plastic small clip thats half the size but double layered 10rds as well.
Hahaha wanting more...im sure im going to have fun but YES ide love something with a bit more accuracy ~150YRDS but for the price i paid and what the guns worth i think i did good for myself. I hear they never jam but overheat after busting ~100rounds off straight

we traded some locals over sears for some real ones. We put them in the floor boards of our aircraft and retrieved them back in the states on a weekend. My buddy still has them. 3 full auto Kalisnikovs but they are beat the hell up.

Damn, imagine the lead headline in the newspaper if you got caught with one (or worse all 3) of those fuckers.
TERRORIST PLOT FOILED
Automatic weapons and 7 rounds of ammunition and a steak knife seized.

Prob going to upgrade the sights but not now. Going to get the aim good with the irons for a while then treat myself :)
Its got a quad rail setup w soft grips so its real comfortable in the hands, good for add ons too.
This guy reviewed it and loved it so it looks like a good pickup @ 400$ http://www.zimbio.com/Firearms/articles/fvihP6L8d57/IO+Inc+AK47+C+Review

$400.00 sounds like a pretty good deal.
Here is my piston driven (PSX) AR from S&W in 5.56 with her Trijicon and a 30 rnd clip.
Ugly shit can happen in front of this.

Hey bro I'm kinda young but I've been shooting for a few years and have had experience with a lot of different guns including an ak-47. First of all the laws depend on where in NY you are. If you're in NYC the laws are much stricter. As for the papers, most cities/states have different laws concerning ownership but your local police stations website probably has everything you'll need.

Shooting in general is just one of the greatest hobbies to have. I just started trying to learn to shoot long distances (up to 1000yds) and that is one thing you should try sometime. I made a decent bit of money this spring so I bought a nice Remington 700 VLS in .308/7.62x51mm. I put a rediculous leupold scope on that thing. I remember one night right after I got it I brought it to the pistol range with me when I went to test my dads new .45. 4 shots made 1 big hole

This is the only site I post on so somebody else has simular.
This one is all S&W - the factory was offering 40% off MSRP to vets & I couldn't pass her up.
I give up - EBR? (Hope I don't regret this)

Wait, I got it - Evil Black Rifle
Whew, I need to dump a mag now.

Hands down the best AK-47 is the Yugo underfolder M70. It has the 1.5mm frame instead of a 1mm frame like all the others. It's more accurate and rugged than all the others including the Russian version. I had to sell mine because there was no place to shoot it where I live, but they are really fun guns. I miss mine :(
