Smoking Azamax

Heynow RIU, I sprayed I mean drenched my indoor garden, alittle over aweek ago, after I found some spidermite webs on a few fan leaves. My Plants were 6 or 7 weeks into budding at that time. A couple days later i noticed 3 spots on 2 plants where the buds were starting to rot. So I chopped off those 3 buds. You could see that the stem underneath of the bud was still wet and juicey with a strong Azamax smell. Then i cut out all the nasty looking rotten parts of the bud and kept the stuff that still looked good.

Yesterday the buds were all dried out and ready to smoke, but they still stunk like Azamax. Today I ran out of bud and said fuck it. The instructions say its safe to eat stuff sprayed with it the next day, so how bad can it be to smoke it.

Does anyone know how bad for me it is?

Would you smoke the buds or toss em?

Also I just sprayed my outside garden with Azamax today, but I dont plan on harvesting for 2 more weeks. I just saw some bugs and started spraying. I already forgot about my indoor budrot issue. Now i'm worried for my backyard babies.

Does anyone know of a way I can avoid getting budrot on my buds out there?

And does anyone know if spraying with Azamax this late in flowering will leave any residual taste or smell in my buds?

Thanks in adnavce

The Azamax has always killed everything everytime I use it, but then they come back in a couple weeks. And this last time I sprayed my indoor garden I got some budrot.I've been hearing good stuff about the Hotshot strips. And I won't have to worry about the budrot with it. I'm def going to give them a try. Thanks for the advise.

But what I'm really worried about here, is my health. And the effects of smoking buds that were drenched with Azamax a day or 2 before they were chopped.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this???

So far I've smoked 2 bowls and a J. It tastes just like really fresh uncured weed, i think. The 2 plants that got the Rot were a Jack the Ripper and a Bubba Kush. So I cut out all the rotten shit, chopped up what was left into little bitty buds, and threw em in an open plastic bowl. They're still in the bowl and they still stink like Azamax. But they are completely dried out now. When I take the scissors and break up the little buds they give out that super sweet dank smell they are supposed to have. I just rolled another J now.

Am I going to die from smoking this shit.

I used to get weight of mexican shit back home sometimes that smelled like straight fucking Raid or something, even after you broke it up. and we all still smoked the hell out of that shit. So fuck it, I guess.

Do you think that those hotshot strips could be used successfully outside. I just have a small patch maybe like 5' by 10' with 8 big girls. I just drenched them with Azamax like 2 days ago, bcs I found a couple budworms out there. And just now I found another budworm, and he was tearing my bud up. I saw some other bugs crawling on the leaves too. This sucks. I'm leaving town tomorrow and I'm scared for my girls.

Also it seems like in the last 2 days most of the white hairs on all of the plants have started turning brown.

Do you guys think this is from the Azamax? I mixed following the guidelines for a medium dose. I also fed them some Budda Bloom that morning.

Or could they just all be turning brown bcs its that time of year already?

The active ingredient in azamax, which is produced from the neem seed, breaks down in like 100 hours. It might leave a residual taste, but that should be all. I'm with Kyle though, get the damn pest strips and run em all throughout veg. I put em up in a ziplock baggy during the flower cycle unless I see a bug, then I pull em out for a quick kill. Those things are great.

First and for most, azamax may say to be used on ur fruits but for your buds, well you should know that once u cut ur babies down the spider mites will leave after hanging and drying.. the dryer the plants the more spider mites that will leave. sooo yea, u didnt even need to spray if u were going to cut them down two days later.. secondly, azamax.. as a marijuana grower.. is used to control, regulate n finally disrupte all reacurring pests; meaning it takes about a week for them to all die n no reproduction to occur. On top of that, this is an organic product that can and most likely will work as long as u follow intelligent usage. After using the product clean all clothes that could have come into contact of the mites, n everything around ur grow. after a week, other mites from outside ur grow could attack again, thats not the azamax's fault, its the growers for not thinking thoroughly.

I would have rinsed the bud really well before drying it out. Then hang it in front of a fan to dry the excess water. Then let it dry naturally. THEN MAYBE consider smoking it.

Put that shit in a baggie with some Hubba Bubba and let the bubblegum smell permeate it. Then let your buddy smoke some first. Tell him it's a bomb ass bubblegum strain straight from Azamax, I mean Amsterdam.

You want to have layers of protection, not just rely on one product. In my raised garden bed I grow carrots, because beneficial insects like to hide in the leaves. I introduce lady bugs if aphids become a problem. They won't eradicate, but they keep the aphid population in check.

Usually once a month I wash my plants. If its indoors or if there are no beneficial insects near by I'll use insecticidal soap. Otherwise just dish soap and cold water.

No matter what, outside a pest will find and nibble my plant. I do my best to make it taste like crap. In the past I'd spray a light coat of neem oil, this year I'm dusting my plants with DE.

I also like to hang yellow fly paper. A lot of flying insects seem to be attracted to the yellow paper more than my pants.

Mix it up and learn as much as you can about your garden pests.

hot shot pest control strips are not meant to be used in place where humans will be. IE the home, read the package next time.

"Use in closets, basements, garages, storage areas, utility areas, attics, stored boats, stored RV's and other non-living spaces."

you have fun with the strips inhaling pesticide vapor. ill stick with azamax as it does work. havent had any problems if ive drenched the soil before hand. azamax is the first thing i put into my soil hasnt failed me yet.

I'm pretty sure it says something like "not to be used in a place where humans will be for more than four hours a day" I already threw the label away. I didn't realize people were using this thing for spider mites I just bought it to help control gnats, but I have noticed that I haven't seen a spider mite since I put it up.

Oh and metamorphy how do you do the soil drench? I use to try that with azamax, but it didn't seem to work. I could have done it wrong though.

I put a No Pest Strip in my room and the mites ate the thing. It didn't do squat. I vent 24/7 though. I think those strips need to have time to settle onto the plants.

Azamaz knocks them down pretty well but you have to stay on them. Tried that Mighty Wash. Pretty expensive to use and I saw some mites after using it so the jury is still out on that stuff.

The key to azamax is to spay one liberally then to spray again 3 to 4 days later... no more than 4 days. This is why they always come back in a week. Then I would spray every 2 weeks just for the heck of it. Also if you are worried about the taste you can spray with water 2 days following the application.

I joined this forum after 4 years of growing and forum reading (without commenting) and horticulture certification... I did not post for the first 4 years because I didn't want to be the guy saying something with confidence and actually be wrong.... spidermites are easy to eradicate.... and azamax is the answer.... foliar spray then 2 days no spray then sprau again then 2 days of none.... repeat this for 5 sprays making sure to only take 2 days without spraying... in 15 days you'll be done.... also pluck all leaves that show damage in order to remove as many eggs as you can.... then after 15 days you can water spray every day and foliar feed on schedule.... you can use azamax at any point in the grow.... I've never had anything come up during testing and I spray until final flush if necessary... and yes you should spray even if there's only 2 weeks left... they can eat a lot in 2 weeks... those hot shots are useless too.... ask yourself "how can it kill the mites without affecting your plant?" You really think your plant isn't being poisoned by a non-food pesticide??? Really??? So just the mites on the surface are being poisoned but the plant they are living on is not???? You really think that???? Test 100% of finished product and you'll be amazed at all the false info out there.... ugh.... ever thought some negativity comes from Newb growers improperly using (or only as directed on the bottle) (which is directions that will keep population down but not eradicate in order to keep you buying it forever) the other negative is propoganda from competitors.... you'll get real world answers in forums as long as you know to only listen to oeople who give you the what's andvthe why's... having a thorough explanation shows they understand the product and problem and can thus resolve without issues.... also with spidermites do not let an egg hatch mature and reoroduce or they will build immunity... that's why every third day must be treated.... its all extremely easy...
