Just read the post, that was informative with a splash of drama - nice. As for the molasses/sucanat during flowering, from what I have learned the molecules in the added carbohydrate food are too big to be taken up by the root system, and are only beneficial in feeding the microbes in your soil/medium. This increase in the health and population of the microbes is what benefits the plant, so adding it during flower does not necessarily mean you are pumping your bud full of carbs. This is only my opinion gathered from reading up on molasses - any other views?

the krebs cycle as subcool posted the 3rd phase i beleive he said this is when the plant will actually use the extra carbo's

As far as I know, the Krebs cycle refers to the process in which all living organisms convert energy in the forms of carbs and fats into energy that is useful to the cell, ATP, or adenosinetriphosphate (sp?) I don't think it kicks on in "phases."

Just at ripening or Third stage of Floral maturity when the Krebs cycle can convert those sugars and acids to sugars the plant can use.
I use a combo of Bud Candy and Sucanat now

sorry meant third phase of floral maturity my bad

I hardly ever use the stuff, but needed it for my degree. It is interesting how cells work, but I hated the tests. I never tested well.

Hi Sub and many thanks for your answer....now I'm on Querkle and Jack the Ripper (2 Lemango and one Pink Lemonade...I think)...
So I have used bud candy and succanat....and after 3-4 days I have flush my babies with natural water...
Do i need to wait until the soil was completely dry to harvest...or do you recomand to make another flushing before harvest them...
cause Finally I really dont know if you make or practice flushing on your plants after using sucanat/Bud candy solution..?

I would go with another flush when adding sugar/carbs to insure a nice burn.
10 days would be preferred and you can also add hydrozeme to help break down the roots and provide food for the plant. This is something new I am trying and if I get good results I will post them up. My seeded plants go like 85 days and there seriously root bound so a wise TGA prospect has advised me to try some hydrozime <sp> to hemp break down the roots.

I think they changed the Bud Candy formula recently, so now I'm doing sucanat and molasses. Nice combo. The molasses is in the tea, and I add the sucanat when feeding.

There are many other products that cost more, or possibly less. Has anyone ever tried powdered molasses? ... like you buy at the feed store?

post edit: so much bitching here between supposedly medicated adults.
