great thread .. I don't have alot of experience under my belt, but in my first grow I used molasses for every watering during flowering, even flushing. The buds came out terrific but the thing i didn't care for was the fact that my buds tasted like straight sugar. While i didn't mind it and everyone complimented me on the taste. I felt like it lacked it's true flavor.
My last grow i screwed around some more and used molasses for every watering from week two till the end. Once again the buds are VERY sticky. is this what the sugars do??????? the thing i noticed is that. while the bud is still sweet. You can taste the variety of flavors in the bud ( i grew indica dominant this time as opposed to sativa bagseed in the first). Anyway. I guess my only point is. You can use it with every watering. And NO it does not make your buds taste harsh or shitty imo.
I'm still curious to see how i can experiment to keep a true flavor that isn't as sweet and keep the yield boost molasses gives.
