Earth juice is pretty good stuff.. but im a botanicare guy. But EJ would be a close second.. if i had the money it'd be humboldt and lame ol AN lol

I use primarily Earth Juice liquid plant foods. The Grow formulation (2-1-1) is quite raw; not refined, and so extremely thick (shake very well). The Bloom (0-3-1) is much less thick, it smells buttery sweet and delicious. I like that there is virtually no nitrogen in it, allowing for a greater degree of customization. I also use Microblast, which is an exceptional micro-nutrient formula. It covers nearly all the micro/trace nutrients (just no calcium). For my cannabis plants I only apply it occasionally as a foliar spray, but I have also used it every watering for tomatoes growing in coir.

I have no plans nor the slightest urge to try any other brands in place of the Earth Juice products I am currently using. But I do incorporate other things into my feedings, including products from Botanicare and Bio Bizz.

I use Liquid Karma (10 ml/gal) in virtually all of the water applied at all stages of growth. It is a sea-kelp derived supplement (.1-.1-.5), with humic and fulvic acids, yucca extract, amino acids, vitamins, plant hormones and also increases soil biological activity helping to feed microbes. I have been using this stuff and admittedly went through a period of slight neglect towards my plants, just not caring for them the best I could; not topping off with dolomite as early as I should have and letting the soil pH plummet. Even so the majority of the plants looked remarkable, lost some lower foliage but that was about it; the rest of the growth was lush green and healthy looking.
Then there is Huvega magnesium/mineral supplement, and the Calplex (calcium carbonate). Use them in conjunction in all watering if you use RO or distilled water that needs more calcium and magnesium. Both are also great for foliar application and a quick fix for calcium or magnesium deficiencies.

Aside from those products I have used Pure Blend Pro Grow and Bloom in coco coir, and use them for foliar on cannabis. I only apply as a foliar spray because I am not entirely confident they are fully organic. Typically I use 5 ml per gallon of Liquid Karma, and between 5-10 ml per gallon of the Grow or Bloom. If all you use it for is foliar it will last you a while.

I have only used one Bio Bizz product and that would be the Fish Mix (2 - 0.2 - 6.6) hydrolyzed fish protein and beet extract. It smells like fish, but I like it. It can even be used on seedlings in early growth and it is especially pH friendly. This is another one of those things that the microbes in the soil really enjoy. I also use Fish Mix in conjunction with Earth Juice Bloom throughout flowering, mainly during the first month. It provides a decent amount of nitrogen and extra potassium.

I did briefly consider trying Bio Bizz Grow/Bloom, but as I mentioned it just isn't urgent. They seems like exceptional one-part formulas, although the Grow has barely any phosphorous and a crap load of potassium in comparison. If anything I might use either of the BioBizz products along with the Earth Juice, not as a replacement.

I use the roots line myself. There also pretty raw both grow and bloom is very thick. Trinity is 3 products in one a grow catalyst, microbe catalyst, and a carb booster. Hp2 (0-4-0) is bat guano for flowering, Hpk(0-5-4) is the same thing but with more k for the end of flower if your in a Peat Moss base but you dont need it in a coco mix(like roots soil). Ancient amber is humic acid, and Extreme serene is a kelp extract. most people only use aa and es for foliar feeding. Oregonism is freakin amazing and i would recommend it for any soil grow. I got two mr.nice guys that were 1 1/2 feet tall and still in dixie cups with nutrient deficiencies and i transplanted them right away and hit them with oregonism and some trinity and they bounced back like nothing and were fully rooted in gallon smart pots in two weeks. I would recommend the grow,bloom,trinity,hp2,and oregonism, the ancient amber, and extreme serene are not completely nessisarry.

You can mix and match with the grow for the N-P-K ratio you want.

No experience with the others, but very good results with the EJ line. Good enough that I felt no need to try the others or experiment.

EJ is great stuff.

Yup, that would be why. Cannabis plants don't need nitrogen in abundance during flowering, especially not during the last 2-3 weeks. Many growers will tell you that you should allow your plants to become nitrogen deficient within the final couple of weeks, to achieve the best flavor.
The Bloom is primarily phosphorous with some potassium, which if I am not mistaken is also desirable when growing in coco coir as coir often already has sufficient potassium and is prone to build up potassium salts. The Grow will supply the nitrogen, as I reduce it's application rates and begin using Bloom in conjunction during the first month of flowering. Consequently there is less potential for supplying too much phosphorous by mixing the two, which could upset the mycorrhizae (symbiotic fungi). Then, in order to boost potassium whenever desired and during flowering I can use the Bio Bizz Fish-Mix and/or plain unsulphured blackstrap molasses which also provides additional calcium, magnesium, iron and other trace elements.

I would say that Earth Juice Grow & Bloom, along with molasses makes for a decent minimalistic and yet complete enough approach to cannabis nutrition for soil growing. In other words, I am confident that is all one needs for a first grow. You could probably get a quart each of the Grow & Bloom for about $20 total. The molasses will run you $4 maybe. Aside from that the only other product I would absolutely recommend to improve plant health is the Liquid Karma, which will provide your humic/fulvic acids and more. Anything else and you're just trying to get fancy. :wink:

Yeah you only really need the 5 if your in a coco soil mix if your in peat they suggest to use the hpk for a flower hardener at the end. Im using roots soil now so i dont use hpk anymore. I dont use es or aa in my feeding mixes i use them as foliar feeding up untill buds start to form. Ive heard good things about earth juice and for the price you cant beat them. The only bad thing Ive heard is that awhile back they had some concentration problems(inconsistent batches) and i know roots has this high tech equipment now that gives them a really constant product. Also subcool like their soil and everyone knows how respected he is around here. i got some jillybeans goin cant wait to taste it.

Roots organics seems pretty expensive, how fast do you go thourgh the bottles? Or what bottle gets used the most?
