Hi
This is my first grow. I have 3 white skunk plants in soil under a HPS 400watt. Its day 59 since I went 12/12. I have been examining the trickmores under a magnifying glass and I appear to have some amber trichomes not a lot. The plants are starting to produce a lot of crystals.
Judging by attached photos do you think i have long to wait before they are ready, i’d like the trchomes to be 50/50 (milky/amber).

i would say 2-3 more weeks but i would just keep an eye on the trichome color because thats the most accurate way to tell, especially if you're looking for a particular mix like 50/50, and since it's sativa it takes a little longer to get to that particular mix. keep us updated!

omfg! everytime somebody asks if there buds are done(which they are probably over done) somebody says "id probably give it 1-2 more weeks. dont you people know that buds lose thc after a certain point? most likly when the leaves start yellowing? damn im a newb but still, hearing people say 1-2 more weeks no matter what the buds looks like is getting real annoying.

Also, remove that black background, it is absorbing your light rays...Go with something white/reflective!
Let's see those Sativas!

Most of the buds people post when they're asking "how much longer" have at least two weeks left. The plant in question here still has mostly white hairs, and the calyx's haven't swelled yet. I would agree that this particular plant has 2-3 weeks left

You are correct that THC does begin to degrade (it isn't lost, the effect it has on the user just changes) at some point, it's when the trichomes have turned amber. But you have to understand that just because the THC has begun to degrade doesn't mean that it stops getting you high.

The plant yellowing has much more to do with using stored nutrients than THC degrading.
