Vibrating Grinders

I recently bought a sharpstone grinder from my local headshop and it has a vibrator attached to the bottom to supposedly "shake" kief off the bud. Has anybody ever had one? if so was this a good investment? It was $50 Canadian. Also what kind of grinder do you guys have?

eh, sharpstone suck. after about six months the teeth will fall out, and all you need to do if give your grinder a solid bang on the floor and the keef will fall straight down

try putting it in the freezer for an hour or so before hand, i can tell the differnce.

yeah, definitely, and if you stick a nickel or any other coin in the chamber with the ground up weed it rains keef!

I grind all my weed in a coffee grinder, 20 dollars from walmart. The inside is stainless steel and after a while all the keef sticks to the side. I don't know how many times I've scraped my grinder when I was out or low. It's just like smoking Hash.

What the hell are you talking about? Ive had my sharpstone for almost 3 years, i use it everyday, and it still works like a charm..

i've had two and each of my friends who owned one had the same issues, for the longest time we only had sharpstone down here and now no one buys them.. good they changed the selection but really, i like mendo mulchers, soild fucking grinders.

i guess if you'd had one for years there must be some reason particular to you, or maybe you have a higher end model

Dang thats crazy man, i must have just lucked out and got a good one i guess.. Or maybe a few years ago the quality was better..


Like i said in my previous post.. I honestly just think its more valid to get a cheap grinder and good keef box.. My keef box catch's alot more keef then my metal screen does in my sharp stone..

If you want a good keif extraction from a grinder then put it in the freezer for 10-15 mins with ground herb...Then slam it hard on a hard surface...Oh boy do you get a lot. I could see the vibrating feature being kind of a waste of time.

i used to take a hammer and tap the sides of mine and it would rain keif, but what ended up happening is the threading that screws the bottom on got fucked up and now it just turns and turns. i am mindful of this but stoned people forget and once i dumped a month's worth of very abundant goodness. i think the vibrating idea is great, i just don't know if i would pay 50 bucks. if it does what you want and lasts longer than a year of use and abuse i would be satisfied.

I don't see why you would want to shake keif off bud inside a grinder. Your just making the shit your smoking less potent? I have a 4 piece space case and I dont shake it, I just let what falls through fall through.

If you wan't to get all the keif off your buds invest in a pollen box or some large pollen screens to sift bud on. Throw your bud in the freezer for an hour, and sift it...
