nope im done with autos...for now at least.im starting papaya and bubblelicous next.these autos are just not stable yet...ive seen diesel ryders that grow 4-5 foot tall..and some that dont make it past 6 inches.ive been looking into what ruderalis strains really are....and at this point they will never have a stable strain with those genes in it.they have another 5 years at least of research and altering to get these strains stable.when i started these 2 autos..they sprouted and started forming nodes right on top of each other...the stem would barely be out of the soil.the first set of leaves would literally be sitting on the soil.i started 3 mid seeds...same soil,same lights and the stems are about 2 inches tall and now forming it first set of leaves,growing like every plant ive ever grown.and both of these flowered before they was 2 weeks old...so i missed a week or two of veg growth...i think they would have been taller if they flowered at 3-4 weeks like the seed companies say...but mine didnt...the diesel starting flowering at 12 days and 13 days for the roadrunner...that had to have some influence on its shortness.if i had them on a 12/12 cycle i would understand...but all my autos are on 20/4.

the diesel is about 10-11 inches tall right now...the roadrunner is about 6 inches tall.they autoflower due to the ruderalis genetics that is cross breed with sativa or indica strains.its a wild hemp strain that was never cultivated for the weed we know of today.ruderalis plants themselves have almost no thc in them...its the cross breeding with other strains that makes them autoflower and raise the thc %.some folks in canada in the late 70's started crossing these breeds to get 2 harvest a year instead of just one.it autoflowers on its own because thats the main characteristic for ruderalis plants.they was getting a fast flowering plant..but they had many troubles with growing them.every issue that could come up with growing happened with trying to cross these plants.it took them almost 20 years just to get the thc% over 3-4...which isnt enough to really get a decent buzz from.then they found certain indicas that when they crossed them made a more potent plant....but never was made stable enough.

damn..that would suck if it a clone only strain..i could always breed it if not...oh well...ill look into it later.
and the smell started getting strong..ive got a ona block type thing ima toss in there tonight...up till the last week or so the odor wasnt bad...then outta nowhere it started stinking up the whole room

i dont see why people worry so much about smell. 90% of the people out there wouldnt even know what the smell is...none of my growing plants have smelled like weed being smoked..which is what they look (smell) for.maybe if you got like 20 plants then yeah..it would overpower.but for 2-3 plants...the smell dont seem bad enough to worry about carbon scrubbers and such.right now it stinks up my room...but i smoke in here anyways.the smell dont leave the room so i know no one can smell it outside....but im half awake now...gonna hit some of this granddaddy purp to start the day....woo hoo

cant wait for harvest here either..so i dont have to buy this shit anymore...thats my only reason for growing.not doing this to sell...i need it to sleep and eat..its truly a medication for me.

I see I don't only smoke it for laughs and giggles or for the fun of it. I like to smoke it for many other reasons It does help me eat but it does that for everybody do you have sleeping or eating problems?
But it also opens up my mind gets me motivated to do more things. And it really does help me sleep I don't sleep at all really. Sometimes I am up for 24 hours str8.

yeah im an insomniac...tried every med on the market..none worked.i sleep maybe 3-4 hours a night...thats with smoking...without it i can go for days without sleep.the only time i really can eat is when i have the munchies.and it dont take much...im an old school smoker...i wont sit here all day and smoke giant blunt after giant blunt.an 1/8 can last me a week.so if i get 20-30 grams out of just these 2 autos...im set for a good amount of time...and if i need any ive got a few connections if needed.then when i start the papaya and the bubblelicious and the clones i get from that...i should be all set for awhile...hope to start a every 2 month harvest again

had an idea for another hood tonight...this one should work much better...i now will have all the cfl's on their side...without all the light leaking up also.gonna start with just 4 cfl's now till i see how it vents the heat...it should stay about the same temp...since the lights will now be half enclosed it should contain the heat and be easier to vent it out..but we will see...all else fails ill tear it all down again and try another way...and again...doing all this with stuff laying around the house....seeing as how much these fuckwads want these days for $.35 of sheet metal...40-190 bucks..for a light hood .thats not fucking right to me...its not like its modern technology...its fucking sheet metal.so i shall continue being bob the builder till they bring their prices down.....ill try and take some pics...and yes im using tin foil inside the hood....i have my reasons...first person that mentions hot spots im going to cockslap them

heres the new hood...with the door open temps are running in the low-mid 80's...ive got to work on the airflow a lil bit...but so far it seems to work.the box is brighter than hell now...maybe cause of all the light i was losing might be why the plants stay so short...but they are getting a ton of light now...not bad for free i guess.i think i enjoy building stuff like this more than the growing itself

Yea man that grand daddy purp is something else. I heard it was a clone only strain -Purple Urkle X Big Bud- I believe? I also heard it's hard to get. But i am not sure its just what I heard.
Man, out here in Colorado, gdp is everywhere. decent potency but from what ive heard, the yield isnt too impressive.
