This is not true. THEY CAN NOT ENTER ANYTIME THEY WANT... They hafve to give 48-72 hours notice, depending on where you live, unless it is an emergency, Like a broken water pipe or a fire or something.


I grow in my apartment. When I moved in, I let them know that I will not allow anyone to enter MY APARMENT with out me present, Because I had a few thousand dollars worth of jewelry stolen by a Plumber, and the Apartment owners ended up paying for the items that were stolen, but they were not replaceable.... Yatty, yatty.. Basically told them if they enter with out permission, I would make sure they paid for it. I have lived here three years, and not once have they entered, rxcept once when I asked them to, and they made sure I was home. ROFLMAO....

True, at least here in the States, but I have had a million and one landlords and they came and they went as they pleased. And another thing to go along with the carbon scrubber, do you have a yankee candle near you, the oils they sell are potent, they recently replaced my ona stuff is sickly strong so if you try it out pick something you like...lol.

That really depends on the strain. You need to do something about the smell if you're going to grow though, because the punishment for getting caught is a lot higher than getting caught smoking. Nonetheless, my apartment doesn't smell outside of it at all, and I can smell my neighbors from outside when they toke up.

i work at a complex an we only go in if you say we can an no a bathroom to me would be the worst place because of toliets an pipes messing up we will go in with a flood , fire ,leak coming from your apartment or going into your apartment also we change the air filters 2 times a year an inspect everything so let the office know you wantg to be there just remeber flood fire leak they can go in at any time other then that you have to give permission

Is there any reason they would be going into the attic
??? I ask because Im planning on venting my walk in closet in my apartment upstairs corner tot he attic since i can't plumb inyto the bathroom exhaust there just isnt enough room to do it..I just took a section out of the wall to check..=)

i grow in an appartment aswell, top floor however i own it so dont get any unexpected calls form any one, i wouldnt reccomend it if ur renting because the landlord has the right to walk in whenever he she wants for an inspection.

if u own the place then bobs ur uncle no1 can come in unless u allow them to

Im about to start renting. I have a storage closet that's about 5x8. First grow will be a SOG at around 15 plants. The others will be standard grows(4-5). I already have a closet made, but I don't want too many attachments rolling out of it. Is there any cheap methods. I 've read of people using cotton balls and vanilla. I also have scented dispensers set up. Candles as well. I just like my place smelling good. Im not on the top floor but im on the second floor, corner unit. Last grow I completed you couldn't smell shit until you got about a foot away from the plants.

I would run comparibles on renting a small house. the market being where it is at landlords are in a bind and need to fill some houses so they work with you on the rent. This way you narrow down the field of risks that you would have in an apartment complex, and only have to deal with one landlord ehich there are a lot of stoner ones too,LOL. I am one hahaha

Here's some things you want to look for:

Top floor, corner unit.
Vent to the attic in closet or wherever you want to grow.
Make sure no necessary equipment maintanence people might need to get to is in the closet, i.e. air conditioning units, electrical wiring, etc.
Big closets (obvious reasons).
Make sure there is electrical outlets near the closet, or even better, in the closet, which is rare.
Just be aware that it is almost a certainty that someone you dont want in the unit will have to go in there, whether it be maintanence or exterminators, whatever. I have a six month lease and its happened 3 times to me already.

get to know your maintanence people. find out if they are cool or not if cool they may just want some of your grow

guys I would make a rule. what you should do is purchase a huge storage cabinet that is pad lockable. then just put that in your bedroom & grow in it. there is no reason anyone would go into a locked personal cabinet barring theres a fire in it.

thats what i would do if you really want peace of mind

somthing like this manly beast but i would get a bigger one

then just put a carbon filter on the exhaust

another option it to buy an old standup freezer. those are lockable with keys also and wont arrouse suspision.

heres another story, i just got my apt on my movin date we sit down and celibrate with a fat ass spliff, apt is all cloudy, bam i get a knock on the door. its the maintenence man, i almost shit 2 bricks.

no picture you in you growing pleasure smoking out like crazy with your new found weed wealth. that nigga knocks on the door, hes an asshole and calls the cops. cops come in cuz they smell dope, they find dope, and a factory

you end up with meat in your ass.

I made a closet with locks on it. That should be sufficient in keeping them out? And im not using a the hydroponic method. Should that at least make me a little safer?

hell yea no one can enter you personal property without a warrent, thats why i would not just grow in the apartment closet. i just like to cover all the bases just in case, trust me you will sleep better.

i might even take the closet you build, lock it up and put in in your apt closet then get a door knob keyed lock and put in on the apt closet door.

i mean lots of people keep guns and imortant documents & jewlry locked up so if anyone asks (which they wont) you could say thats were you keep your records and shit.

You're right...best to be safe than sorry. The closet locks should be sufficient, but you're right, I don't want anyone even near the storage unit where it will be housed.

The storage unit is about 5x7 but it has basic folding closet doors. How would I anchor that?
